  1. Never driven one, but i think it would be a Ferrari 458. Thats my modern day lottery win car.
  2. Interesting feedback from everyone so far... thanks guys. After all this i think i'm leaning towards the Cayman... Still no where near sure though and basically looking at everything. I saw a new X5 on the way home tonight which looked the business. Looked them up on Auto Trader and seen this... i think i'm in love. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201703163334210?make=BMW&model=X5M&radius=1500&advertising-location=at_cars&postcode=g22bp&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&sort=price-asc&page=1
  3. Ultimate sales rep car... 3-series / A4 / vectra / insignia ? I think the 3 Series deserves some recognition, for bringing a premium brand to the masses.
  4. Any news Leon? I've just seen an ad for the below on TV. Thought it might be up your street. https://www.deagostini.com/uk/collections/build-jaguar-e-type/
  5. I like these. And if they save you from road rash on the rims then happy days.
  6. It can look like that with the mirrored surface. You can't be certain until you clear up the outside. This. Its decieving - it can look like the inside of the lens is going hazy but 9 times out of 10 it's still the outside. It's weird.
  7. I used to use metal polish and a polishing drill bit with my electric drill. Used to do it every 6 months or so, and they'd come up lovely.
  8. So is there no F-Type love from anyone? It's the only car thats on my list that no body has mentioned.
  9. I do really like the Cayman... in my mind though i feel like i want a keeper, something thats barely going to depreciate. I look at 987's now for £10k and cant help thinking the 981's will be there in the next 6 or 7 years or so. Also... i think the Cayman needs an additional rear spoiler, and if i finance a 35k Cayman (depending on how i do it) i may not be able to modify it...
  10. your not going to get a lot deeper unless you want stretch and camber or widebody ??? I used to love your afterburners Hugh. I'd have liked to have seen them on my car, although my Volks were just too good to consider swapping.
  11. Lots of good points made so far guys. Nice to look at but not special enough i'm afraid. Yeah, it definitely needs doing... but if i've got a 60's Mustang it's going to be for cruising not enjoying at speed - so worried about feeling unfulfilled. Makes sense. You could always spend your time retrofitting it with modern suspension, brakes, etc and end up with a muscle car which handles. i dont think i've got the patience or ability for this... but if i could buy one ready made, now this would be a propper shout. 60's Mustang style with modern car reliability and handling. yes please. Ah nice one. I'll put that in my calendar and may make an appearance.
  12. Estoril blue was my favourite until BMW started putting it on every one of their cars. Now i hate it. Someone on here wrapped their Zed in this colour below which is similar, but this is just perfection to me. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/87115-full-vinyl-wrap-and-body-kit-fitted-with-callipers-painted-and-tints-redone/page__hl__%20370z%20%20wrap
  13. Yeah, thats not gonna float my boat i dont think. The Macan is a definite future purchase, but i need something sexy this time around.
  14. Well if we're playing that game, what i need is the following: A 4x4 for a daily A 60's Mustang for cruising on a nice day A 911 for the weekend An MX5 for a drift toy A new house with more offroad parking to put my 4x cars plus the wife's 1x
  15. ha ha. Not a chance. They're like £100k. Correction, only £87k. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201703012809458?sort=price-asc&advertising-location=at_cars&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&make=MERCEDES-BENZ&radius=1500&model=AMG&year-from=2014&postcode=st86bw&page=1

  17. Love these, but again i've been put off by the maintenance costs. The Gran Turismo is stunning, but i heard on here that it was something silly like £8k for a new suspension strut??? No thanks.
  18. Looks lovely, but just too ordinary looking. I've had 6x BMW 3-series' over the years and it would just be too 'normal' for me. Now this on the other hand. This is my current favourite car today. The shape and proportions of it are perfection for me...
  19. The GTR doesnt do very much for me, strangely. The R8 has been high on my list for a long time, but prices seem to have risen signifficantly over the last 3 years, and i was discussing them on here last year and several people's feedback was that they were hideously expensive to maintain, which doesnt float my boat. At least the 911's are reasonably sensible to maintain.
  20. Nah... 95% of the track work i want to do is on the drift tracks at Oulton park. The cars i've had for this in the past have been absolute beaters, and i've enjoyed the days so much as i didnt mind if they came back with bodywork dented or missing. I did it in my first zed a couple of times and you cant let loose anywhere near as much.
  21. First PC I ever built, at like 16 i think.... i bought all the components, put it together, switched it on. very slight spark/flash and then it was dead. after a few minutes of head scratching i realised the mistake... ... I screwed the motherboard directly to the case, without using the little spacer screws What an idiot. I managed to problem solve it and all this did was fry my RAM, so i returned it as faulty and got a replacement for free, and everything was fine after that.
  22. See i'm not that much of a connoisseur to be honest. If i've not driven either, the Gen 1 will be immense compared to what im driving now. Its the reliability and Porsche anxiety which terrifies me.
  23. The trouble with another zed is, i had (IMHO) probably the best looking Zed possible with my blue one. I'd need one at a similar level if i were to get another, even if i was tracking it. E.g. Shire350z's quality, which i dont want to spend.
  24. Good points. I've not heard a 718 yet. Would you not consider a 997.1 then at all? I know exactly what you're saying with the Mustang, too. What other bad ass cars haven't i thought of?? C63 you mentioned Irfan, always loved these but im definitely after a sleek coupe look.
  25. Hey pal, Yeah thats true, well remembered. It is definitely still on my to-do list. I could go Panamara and then an MX5 for drifting... What had made this less attractive for me was the need to Tax/MOT/Insure it. If im doing this i'd want a pure track car to then trailer to get track days. That was one of the main reasons i got my RRS to be honest, for towing, but then i never followed through on getting a trailer, as i've not really got anywhere to keep one (i dont want it in my garage and looks ugly outside on the front of the house).
