Hey Guys, Finally went on the drift day yesterday, and i've got to say - it was the most fun i've ever had!!!! It was absolutely awesome!! It was a very well run event and is excellent value for money. On track from 9am till 5pm, with an hour for lunch. There were about 24 cars there, and 2 drift stages to go on, so you were rarely waiting more than a minute between laps...! I did 70miles on track, and used just under 3/4 of a tank i think...! I got 9mpg which is pretty good, considering i didnt get out of 2nd gear The free tuition is very useful and helps you get the most out of the day. One point though - i was struggling to get fully sideways on a few of the corners so i asked the instructor what i was doing wrong - and he said my zed seemed to have a lot of grip at the rear making it difficult to get sideways! He said i should increase my tyre pressures by about 15psi to make them easier to unstick! So i'll try that for the next one Thanks to SteveH for organising the day...! My run to work is 50% town and 50% country lanes. I et 21mpg usually. But if im enjoying myself, then 17mpg is very likely.

Funny you should say that Nixy,the missus said to me are you sure you did not take out yourself.To which I replied I think I would bloody remember doing that. About 10 years ago my dad came home and was banging on the front door, out of breath... He said he'd he'd been at the petrol station when a rough-looking guy brushed past him while he was in the queue. When he got out to the car his keys weren't in his pocket, and he thought he'd been pick pocketed! So, he ran round to the police station and filed an incident report etc, and then jogged home to get the spare keys. Only when he took his coat off and threw it on the table did he hear the keys knock on the table... they'd fallen through a hole in his pocket lining, and were at the bottom of his coat... Moral of the story... ipod must be in your sock drawer

I take it you didnt read all my post then... I said im going to ask you for some Nissan decals in black for them. I cant put brembo in them saing as they're standard JDM brakes! ...I just need to wait for the weather to get better then i can go out and measure what sizes i need!

You done the zed before? How bads the paint? Nope, never clayed before... and only polished once. To be honest the paint is really good - there are no swirl marks at all, although there is a lot of tar. When i rub my fingers over it, the car feels rough. Oh well, plenty lube and a bit of time! I never wear a watch when I'm cleaning or detailing so how idea how long anything takes. Too right. Unfortunately my back is the only time-keeping equipment i need! Im in agony today after painting my brakes, and im already dreading the full day of detailing.
