  1. Finally dude! Good skills for going for going through with this though... i didnt realise everything would have to be trimmed down... what a nightmare! Looking forward to seeing the progress!
  2. Thats the exact one i have for sale mate... yours if u want it.
  3. open the engine bay and start unclipping the cowling around the drivers side windscreen... its easy to do. Anyway you'll be able to feel under the cowling eventually and find the pipes leading from your wipers. Unhook this and you have access to it then... you are now looking for a Y pipe connector - this often gets clogged. Unclip the wires from here and stick some wire down it or something to unblock it...
  4. I have a zed badge which im bringing to wales.... tenner if u want it
  5. Fill your lunchtimes with these! Timed quizzes! Name the car maker (i got 37 out of 42): http://www.sporcle.com/games/carlogos.php Name all 42 premiership teams since it started (i got 40 out of 42): http://www.sporcle.com/games/premierleaguealltime.php And there's loads of others on there!
  6. I have a satin silver zed badge... looks alright condition but you may want to give it a fresh coat of paint...! I bought it 2nd hand on here for £12 delivered, but have decided not to fit it to my car. £10 on the sunday to anyone.
  7. Saw this a few weeks ago (think it was posted on here?) It was the funniest thing ever! This one is also good... possibly funnier (after a few beers anyway!):
  8. Do you have an automatic? Did you lean on the snow mode button with your elbow? The first time i did that i thought my car had died, and i couldn't go over 20mph...!
  9. Dude - i fully agree with you... They're almost as gay as Mini's. But then it doesnt matter what it looks like if it drives well on track I wouldn't drive it in public, and would be stripping it and making it track ready. And its different enough to keep it interesting. Would MX-5's be difficult to control if you're over 5'2''? When I borrowed my Mum's (not a good start) I struggled to get in it and move the wheel without hitting my knees Balls, really? Im 6'2", and my mate is 6'5". WIll have to try before we buy i think.

  11. Thats ace! Good spot!
  12. Hey Martin, Yep it was good meeting you too...! After the passenger ride on your celica i saw how it should be done - so i absolutely ripped it for the last 25 mins...! I had a great time! I have pics and vids of your car... i'll post them up probably tomorrow night now - but i'll PM you when i do.
  13. Hey guys... Well my mate's been looking online all day at cars, and i think we're both leaning towards an mx-5. You can get them for seriously little money - like £700, and they'll do the business. They seem to be the cheapest car out off all the suggestions so far - and its small enough to not take up too much space on my drive too! 200sx's are still very pricey... looking at £1500 minimum which is way more than we wanna spend. So we're watching a few on ebay right now, and he's emailed a few people... so may have one in the next few weeks!
  14. That looks awesome mate!! Are you happy with it? I cant wait to see it...!
  15. Sorted the spacers i think - no problem. Got out my shiny new Torque wrench and a regular socket fits in the hole perfectly, so i torqued them up to 105nm (am assuming this is right btw... couldn't find anything in it when searching). My handbrake has always been crap - but it got through the MOT no problem - so maybe its not that bad... but the car moves a lot when im torquing the wheel nuts Cheers for the help guys...!
  16. Cheers guys. My handbrake is just for show - it doesn't do anything - but it normally doesnt matter as i have an auto! I have a nice big torque wrench - i just havent used it yet. Will have to read the instructions I've just driven my girlfriend to work - at 25mph holding up traffic! it was knocking like mad!
  17. Hey. I got some 20mm Eibach hubcentric spacers a few week ago and fitted the rears today. Can anyone tell me how im supposed to fit them? Yes, i know this is a question - but im stuck Rear wheel off - put the spacer on, tighten all 5 nuts by hand, and then torque them up with a wheel brace. However 2 questions... 1. The socket of my wheel brace only just fits inside the hole where im tightening the nut... when i try to tighten, it gets stuck and i have to kick the brace to get it out...! So i cant get the nuts as tight as i want them. 2. Probably an easier answer... when im tightening the nuts, the wheels want to turn... so di i just need someone in the car to press the brakes?? So, i've got the spacers as tight as i could get them with this wheel brace, and after a short 3 mile drive i could hear a knocking noise from the left rear - so somethings not right Im off work tomorrow to do a full detail, so hopefully i can get all 4 spacers fitted CORRECTLY too...
  18. Hey guys, After doing my first drift event yesterday, my mate and i loved it and want to buy a bit of a 'beater' car together to take to drift/track days. As we're not serious track enthusiasts and also dont want to be investing loads of time (and more importantly, money), we need to consider what car to get. Criteria are: Must be RWD Must be reliable Must be sub £1k. (Aiming for around £700!!). Must be reasonably powerful. So far we've been looking at 325 E30 BMW's, and mk2 MR2's (seem cheaper than the bmw's - but how reliable?) Can anyone think of any other cars which meet these criteria..?? Also, any useful information or other things to think about which i've not thought of? (we'll decide about tax/MOT/insurance when we get the car...!)

    slow puncture?

I have an extremely slow puncture on my left rear... but i can live with it! It drops about 5 psi a month...!
  20. Nope - borrowed it off a mate at work. Its far too small and absolutely wrecks when i take it off!!
  21. Hey Guys, Finally went on the drift day yesterday, and i've got to say - it was the most fun i've ever had!!!! It was absolutely awesome!! It was a very well run event and is excellent value for money. On track from 9am till 5pm, with an hour for lunch. There were about 24 cars there, and 2 drift stages to go on, so you were rarely waiting more than a minute between laps...! I did 70miles on track, and used just under 3/4 of a tank i think...! I got 9mpg which is pretty good, considering i didnt get out of 2nd gear The free tuition is very useful and helps you get the most out of the day. One point though - i was struggling to get fully sideways on a few of the corners so i asked the instructor what i was doing wrong - and he said my zed seemed to have a lot of grip at the rear making it difficult to get sideways! He said i should increase my tyre pressures by about 15psi to make them easier to unstick! So i'll try that for the next one Thanks to SteveH for organising the day...! Here are some pics and vids...!
