  1. I've only heard excellent things about L&G, so they're worth a look... but i couldnt tell you if they do geometry etc.
  2. Welcome pal. Before buying a car - check the insurance first. I had a group 16 e46 328ci coupe and was paying £800 a year, then bought the zed and it went right up to £2550! I was 23 at the time. There's absolutely nothing wrong with imports either... you'll save upto £2k on the purchase price, while getting pretty much the same car (if you shop around and get one with brembos/leather etc). Then you can spend the leftover cash on mods
  3. Difference between a manual and a tip? One's an automatic car, and the other's a manual I've had a tiptronic for almost 2 years now, and i love it. It drives very well, and i can get anything between 16 and 31 mpg depending on how im driving and the roads im on. The auto-box is very good... and the tiptronic mode is very useful when going for a b-road blast! That said, i do occasionally wish i had a manual, but not often.
  4. I went out at lunch and they were still on last months issue Anyone got the official release date?
  5. Thats beautiful. I'd love something like that (and somewhere to use it!)
  6. Cool...! And its about time too
  7. Hey Tim, welcome back! Try PM-ing Husky or Dene8 as they may be interested in the speedo assembly
  8. Dont you mean, Goodbye, as we'll never see him again now

    Speedo Issue

I think the kmh - mph converter is inside the speedo housing. The visio things are £80?? I think i mapd £27 or something like that, and i was gutted as the guy had sold one for £17 the week before. Defo get one though - it makes a huge difference when driving, i cant live without it! Good luck with the problem.
  10. My zed has gone flat twice, and both times it DIDNT make a clicking noise when trying to start it. Nothing at all happened when i turned the key. Then when jumping it i had no problems at all, and jumped off a Rav 4 and a Renault Clio... not big power cars! Whether it makes a difference that mines a JDM with a smaller battery, i dont know?
  11. Have you posted up on Driftworks Steve? I know the OP day on the 11th sold out, and i saw loads of conversation about it on there

    Speedo Issue

Do your indicators still make a clicking noise when they're on? I've blown the fuse before which controls that noise, and the speedo's. Its the one directly below the empty slot in the footwell fuse box... 15A i think. If it still makes the indicator noise, it must be something else. I know that the speed pulse wire comes through the AC Control Unit which is a white box in the center console - you need to remove the gear surround to get to it. If i were you i'd get a multimeter and check that its producing a signal when you're moving (get someone else to drive perhaps ). See my thread below detailing which pin the speed wire is: "Now, the VSS wire is found on the middle plug (grey - M49), and is pin 26 - which if you're looking down on it is the top row, 3rd hole from the left. My wire was brown with a white stripe. I found the wiring info in this document - on page 47: " http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=18962
  13. Good spec - brembos on it. Whats the mileage?
  14. Yep i did this. Nice little mod, but frustrating as you never get to see it!
  15. I sold my 80gb PS3 last week with Singstar, GT5 Prologue and Resistance 1 for £251 shipped... so yours should be worth more than 275... although mine was in as new, mint condition. If you put it on ebay, they WILL take around 18% of the final total.
  16. I dont have a root certificate to install - i believe i have to generate my own...? Im now officially bald as i've been tearing my hair out since 11am!
  17. Cheers mate, I need to make a self-signed certificate - i.e. not use a CA such as verisign. My SSL communications are going to be on a private network and therefore can be self signed - saving us mucho $$
  18. Hey, Sorry - a work related question but im going mad here! i need to communicate via SSL for a new piece of development, and have got the necessary java methods to handle a socket connection with SSL. I simply need to pass in the name of a keystore and its password. To create the keystore im using a java tool called Keytool - but i cant figure out how to generate the appropriate certificates - which i want to be 'self-signed' (this is the important bit). I need a Root Certificate, Personal Certificate, and Private Key... using Keytool i've got the Root Cert and the Private Key, but i cant generate the Personal Certificate, as this is usually issued by a CA such as verisign...!! Nobody in my office has had to do this before so im on my own, and very stuck!! Any suggestions anyone?
  19. +1 is that matt black? Nice work Dan... good time too
  20. I've had a pic like that as my phone background for the last year... and i did a nice one highlighting the red lip on my wheels...
  21. Makes me cringe looking at things like that...
