  1. Cheers Trev... i was hoping you'd have some input Do you think i need to run a different oil for things like this, or should my car be alright more or less stock (uprated jdm disks and pads is all i have)?
  2. Hey guys, As i've mentioned briefly before, im interested in getting into sprint racing either next year, or more realistically, 2011. This involves timed sprints along a short track, in a competitive format but only 1 car on track at a time. My boss at work is competing next year in his Spec C Impreza, and is going on a practice sprint day in a few weeks. He says its a new company starting up and its only £50 for the full day!! Check out a video here: link And the website here: http://www.trackdaydrivers.com/index.html So... do you think i should go on this day in my zed? I've always avoided trackdays due to the wear on your car, but this should be alright as you only do 1 lap at a time, and then wait for your turn again - so it shouldn't kill my brakes, and wont be too hard wearing on the car overall. Unfortunately i sold my RX7 drift car last weekend, or else i'd have done it in that! Thoughts?
  3. I liked it, quite interesting! I was looking at the pool table with the projector overhead... very cool.
  4. Think 80-100 is more realistic... Especially with damage, no matter how minor. The JDM bumpers are less desirable and pretty common.
  5. Wrong time of year no? I think there are a few cyclists on here... but im assuming they're all kitted out already...
  6. Congrats mate. Awesome feeling... i remember the day i got mine, i hadnt slept for about a week in excitement!
  7. Ah, watched it now. That was mint!
  8. Painful mate!! Jeez! Has anyone ordered the copy with the NVG's? My Blockbusters is opening at midnight for this, so im going down early to get a parking space, then will be playing all night... booked the day off work
  9. Hmmm... now youtube says its 'down for maintenance'... never had that before!
  10. Which video? This takes you to the search page...?
  11. Welcome pal... performance wise... 18's would be better.

    Rear bulb...

5 min job to change. Open the boot, pop off the 3 caps with a screwdriver, take the 3 nuts off with a socket, lift the light off from the back of the car (it makes a loud pop, don't worry). Then take the bulb out. I can't remember what the Bulb was, I just took the old bulb in and compared.

    Rear bulb...

Yes mate, i had one go a few weeks ago. There is just 1 bulb, and i think it has 2 filaments in it. Got a replacement from halfords for a few quid.
  14. Fantastic. I love stuff like that... i have to say, having a big house, with a garage set up like some of those would me my no 1 dream life! I like the idea of having a bar in there too, it all looks ace.
  15. I've just looked at the one on ebay and its probably his! What a coincidence! He was based in Bristol and so is this auction. I think he was asking for £280(?) last year, but at the time thats what they were worth... its the way that the pound has fallen that has pushed them up to £400. As you point out though, the paddles do look a little low there... i've got mine at 10 and 2 rather than 4 and 8 if you know what i mean? If you've got he cash go for it... If you decide you dont like it you can always take it off and sell it again, so you wont lose much.
  16. Welcome mate. As Martin said, are you an owner, or just considering it at the moment?
  17. Hi Welcome mate. Yes the poor lights take a bit of getting used to, but as others have said, adjusting them does make a fair amount of difference. Just raise them up a bit...
  18. Hi Mate, I take it you've seen my other posts on this this week then? Try PMing glastoveteran as he was selling one about a year ago... and i think i was the only person interested in it, but he wasnt moving on price so i made my own. Therefore im assuming he still has his available...? Personally, i think having paddle shifts has really improved the driving experience... it just feels a lot more natural changing gear with your hands on the wheel. Sometimes though when people hear about the kit, they assume it will speed up the gear changes etc... it wont do this - it is simply a different location for the microswitches that are activated when changing gear with the stick.
  19. Welcome matey... i've been on several car forums but this is by far the best! I think i'll be on here long after i've moved on from the zed! and blade JDM... great choice
  20. Im with digsy... cat and fiddle, 10mins from me. Done.

    Springs

There is a set of gmax 30mm springs on the JDM performance website for £98! I was looking at them yesterday
  22. Nope... it can only be installed on a JDM as they're the only cars with tiptronic! The official kit is made by 'Works Bell', but like i said, its £400 after import taxes and exchange rates. Worth it though in my opinion, although it is just a toy - it will not increase the speed of your shifts, just means you have your hands on the wheel at all times. I would argue that my home made kit looks almost as good as the official kit, even at 1/10th the price http://www.worksbell.co.jp/en/products/ ... hifter.htm
