Yeh i had a 'dub' as my 2nd car and went a bit max power on it, and got flaaaamed on vwvortex It was a rusty 5 door mk3 1.4 golf though, with chrome wheels and blue neons I dont know why though, but i've always fancied a blacked out Bora with a debadged grill... very mean. If only they were quicker

I have been reading this thread with interest all evening. I personally dont get involved with much of the off topic banter as it doesnt really interest me. That said, i've read said topics, and re-read most of them today after this thread. Other than the slightly below the belt comment regarding Mrs Biscuit, i cant see much that BM has done wrong And im not sure why he's getting picked on in this thread? Can anyone point me to his offensive posts in question?? (oh, apart from defending the nissan scroats forum ) rt - if i was you i'd be rightly peeved about mentioning the missus, but you did bring her into the conversation. So, im not sure why there have been some distinctly personal remarks made, in public, by some of the more influential members of the team on this topic? Martin, Digsy, Fiddy... these posts were a bit hostile, no? It feels like other grievances are coming out rather than problems with BM! Without wanting to step on any toes - i do think the forum has become a bit too cliquey over the last few months... its now less of a car forum and more of a social networking site. Perhaps this may be behind other people's grievances? Just my opinion anyway. But the fact that people have made friends and are having a good time isnt against the rules at all, i think its just changed the nature of the forum a bit and what the longer term members are used to. So in summary, although my opinion doesn't mean squat, i think people just need to relax, talk more about cars, and just have a good time

Hey all... Im not sure why im posting this, but im seriously considering selling my zed. I've had it for just over 2 years now, and still love it to bits. I love driving it every day. However, the main reason i want to get rid is - its not a manual Now before anyone reading this starts bad mouthing the auto's... dont! The tiptronic zed is a fantastic car on the road, its all you could ever need - but im starting to get into track days, and an auto zed just wont cut it. I was on a sprint day last week, and i couldnt put down the times of other, in my opinion lesser cars (celica gt4's, clio 172's). This was also in part due to the fact my rear tyres are close to the limit and it was raining, but it just didnt feel right. ...and then i went in my bosses Spec C Impreza, which is just ridiculously fast. 4WD is the future!! That said... drifiting's my sport, and again i need a manual for that. I've sold my RX7 now, and i cant drift my auto zed with any real skill other than booting the power. Sooo... i've thought about getting a manual zed - but that would only be good for track days - you need a beater car for drifting! So i think i've made my decision... dont laugh too hard, but i think im gonna go back to an e36 coupe... either a 325 or a 328. They're dirt cheap, they drift really well, and they're not slow. Its not like i need the money either, but downgrading like this will save me about £300 a month...!! Petrol and insurance will only save about £50, but im currently paying £250 a month for my loan for the zed. Selling up will mean i can pay off my credit card, and start saving towards a deposit for a house. I'll probably wait till after christmas to sell now... i'll get a propper P3 service on it, as i dont have any receipts for the oil changes or other work i've done as my mate does it. So this is a tough choice... i dont need to sell, im not after an upgrade, i dont need the money... but i think i've reached the point where i'd rather have £300 in my pocket every month rather than my zed. What do you think? And i think getting the bmw will satisfy my car urges as i'll be using it for drifting probably every other weekend (Oulton have drift days every 3 weeks, and there are other local events too). Sorry for the long post, but i needed to get it off my chest, and the missus doesnt understand!! I'll be staying on the forum though obviously... i'll just be zedless.

Hey Stan the man! I've always loved the 300c and i think its a great choice. Rare, exclusive and head turning like the zed, just different to drive. I hope you got a good deal on trade in mate... tough selling the rag top a few weeks before christmas eh? Im sure you'll remain here on the forum... you better not disappear! Im pretty sure it was a tough decision for you, but the 300c is a great substitute. ...and at least you've been immortalised forever in Banzai magazine!!!!

Hey Alex. Yep i had a good day yesterday cheers! I was knackered when i got home and slept on the sofa all evening. Shuck - when i stopped for lunch i couldn't get the immobilizer to disengage... i thought my key fob battery was dead but no-one had any spare... so in desperation i pulled out every fuse in the footwell and refitted - non were blown, but when i retried it it worked... but im not sure if there is a fuse there for my aftermarket immobilizer Took a few pics from the photographers website... I really struggled for grip in the zed... i just couldnt get the power down. The track was wet in the morning and dried out very slowly... for my first few laps i had the traction control off - but i could barely get round the track. So i put it back on which helped me a lot, but as the track was small i could barely get out of 2nd gear - meaning i just had the TC kicking in constantly. Ugh! My tyres were on the limit anyway and yesterday was just to finish them off... so i think i need to invest in some decent rubber
