Enjoyed reading this thread, good effort! If the smoke smell is still an issue, pick up one of those air con bomb things that you set off in the car and leave your blower on full blast for 20 mins... have worked a treat for me in smoker-owned cars. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=air+con+bomb&crid=1GOJ16DU63JFK&sprefix=air+con+bomb%2Caps%2C208&ref=nb_sb_noss_1

350z HR 2007 Gearbox Crunch 4th into 3rd at high revs
marzman replied to Mavrik's topic in 350Z Technical
Just double de-clutch and you'll be fine - clutch in, gear to neutral, clutch out, clutch in, gear to third, clutch out. In my experience changing the gearbox oil and adding moly slip made little difference, but the above ensured smooth gear changes forever more. -
Universal in the car scene, not just from our forum sadly. https://www.driftworks.com/forum/threads/just-wondering-what-does-bgw-stand-for.119176/

I went to Goodwood in 2014 and absolutely loved it. Need to go again. I had free 4 day passes through work thanks to a project we did with them. Friday was the most enjoyable day as it was much quieter, and all the cars were testing up the hill so still got to see plenty, and had the pick of the grandstands so moved around a lot. Saturday was okay, but Sunday was unbearably busy. Did get to see Chris Hoy's crash in the GTR though, i was right on that corner when it happened. Closest hotel i could get was 30 miles away though. ðĪŠ

I saw someone post about needing the brain on here a few weeks ago, but what does that get you? I never swapped this when i fitted UK triple gauges to mine, years ago? I dont remember missing anything specifically...
-
Just need to buy a UK triple gauge cluster. Usually sell for around ÂĢ50. 10 minute job to swap, it's plug and play.

Ooh they're nice... would have one if i had a z!

Dont you use the glue they come with? Basically the glue you get in a bicycle puncture repair kit? This stuff should work: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174431970208?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&customid=Cj0KCQiAo-yfBhD_ARIsANr56g73saMT4bi96zn9pZsecys7UOuUCsZ2Oo9fcCBh3InTezlX2WTmUD0aAhn8EALw_wcB

I assume your scanner specifically says it supports JOBD protocol?

This is an old article... pretty sure they've already implemented this. I keep seeing videos on TikTok of residents revolting, and breaking down barriers to drive through etc. Its disgusting - how can the council implement something which inconveniences residents to such a degree... i'm not one for rioting, but i'd be going to war if they did this around me! Edit: here's similar to what i've seen:
-
Yep agree with Dan. I had 2x imports back in the day and never had an issue in around 5-6years of ownership. And they get the better looking rear bumper too (square number plate recess rather than rectangle).

Thats mint!

Got some answers to my questions... i'm not going to follow up, but may be worth a punt if anyone's interested! Q: Is this your car, and do you know any more about its history? A: The car is jointly owned by myself and my son. Have more on the history if you are serious about it? Q: Why has it been off the road for so long? A:Mostly due to the cost of getting it insured taxed etc for a very few outings in the summer. Q: Has it had much use on track? A: We have not had it on a track, previous owner did some track days but we dont have any details from him. Q: Are there any problems with it currently? A: A sensor fault comes and goes, and we have noticed some white vapour from the exhausts, it needs good service and going over before being ready for the road due to being sat for some long. Q: How reliable is it when on the road - does it need constant fettling given the mods or is it daily-driver worthy? A: Never let us down, but its not a daily drive in my view. Q: Do you have any interior or under bonnet pics? A: Will be getting some photos later today as seeing my son who has the car. Q: Should it pass an MOT in its current state? A: With a little checking over first yes. Q: Would you be prepared to attempt to put it through one before purchase? A: No sorry.

I've pinged the seller a message, will see what they say. Given the fairly cryptic advert i'm not holding my breath for a useful response. I'll share on here if i get a response. I dont think i want the car tbh... i've got a 1968 Mustang which i hardly drive because of the headaches of owning such a car... i just want a turn key car that doesn't require much thought...
