Because you're lumping a Nissan Leaf in with this absolute beauty of a car, which vary wildly from one another. Your reason for why other cars should have their own threads applies completely to this case too. I'm not asking for these threads to be split back out by the way, but i'd like to think members/mods consider this next time.
-
So by that logic, lets just have an 'other cars' thread, and not discuss any other cars in posts of their own, such as the Mustang thread. /sarcasm And I do see the point of that, it makes sense. As i said, im not interested in EV's, their advantages/disadvantages etc. I just want to talk about cool cars, but i and i guess others would have been deprived that opportunity if the thread had been started in here because I wouldn't have bothered looking in here.
-
Seriously? Any mention of an EV car has to move to this thread? Im not particularly interested in EV cars but things like the Mission E should be discussed openly for all to see - it's one of the nicest looking cars in years! I wouldn't have seen it if it was buried in this thread. It's an 'Other Car' so why cant it be discussed in the 'Other Cars' sub-forum?
-
Although i'm not sure about the red light on the front with the statement 'Run when light activated'. Run what... away?

The Mission E. Pretty gorgeous if you ask me. Thanks for sharing.

Agree on both of these points. Car wise, I would go down Hugh's route and get some American muscle if youre doing so few miles. Old school Mustang that needs a little bit of work and won't depreciate. Only comes out on summer evenings/weekends. You don't need a performance car as you've been there and done that plus have the Radical, and i reckon having an R8/GTR would give you the same dilemma again in 3 years. -
I've never leased a car but it is really tempting. I frequently look on www.allcarleasing.co.uk - does anyone know of any better sites? The 140i on there can be had for £243 incl VAT with a £3k initial payment and 5k miles. https://www.allcarleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/bmw/1-series/hatchback-special-edition/m140i-shadow-edition-5dr-step-auto

I know this doesnt help, but on a track day at Anglesea circuit last year there was a 140i, and it had the best-sounding exhaust I've ever heard. It literally sounded like a fighter jet doing a flyby at full chat. Didnt get a chance to speak to the owner to find out what he was running, but I'd never been into them until hearing this.

Really sorry to hear this mate. Just so unlucky and unfair, its impossible to comprehend.

When did you pass your driving test Stu? I've got a V8 diesel Range Rover Sport which is rapid and supremely comfortable. I picked up an RX8 for track days last summer, and my plan was to get a trailer - until i found out I needed to do a trailer test as I passed my test after 1997. Edit. Both are for sale if you want to buy them. I'll do you a deal.

Have you tried swapping the ballast from the other side to confirm?

Definitive proof of lies from Greg Johnson / Trade Link Cars.
marzman replied to colesl4w's topic in 350Z General
You'd think so, but from my personal experience you cant rely on this. In my case, the item was allegedly signed for too. I saw the illegible image of the signature and didnt recognise it. In my opinion the driver stole the item from me and faked a signature as he knew the system and there was nothing i could do. Not saying that has happened in this case, but it's a possible explanation. -

Added to this... just because the courier company states that your item was delivered, doesnt mean it actually was. I got completely jipped by My Hermes this year when they stated they delivered something to me, when i hadnt received it. I posted about it on here. I was the innocent party and did nothing wrong, but because the company said they delivered it, it was their word against mine and I was £60 out of pocket. Couldnt get my money back and ebay were unwilling to help. My point is, things arent always as black and white as they seem. -
Price reduced to £1600.

I agree with the majority of your points Coldel. My breakdown is below.

I've just spent £720 replacing both EGR's on this today, to clear up the rough idle fault it has been suffering. Didn't really want to be spending any money on this whilst i'm enjoying a 3 month sabbatical from work. Advert and price updated accordingly.

Hi, For sale is my 2006 Mazda RX8, 231 bhp model. Manual. £1700 £1600 I bought this car in the summer with the intention of using it as a track car. I've done 1 drift day in it and thats it. I've literally only driven it twice. I put the RX8 through it's MOT, and it needed 2 new rear tyres and a new exhaust gasket, which cost £226 in total. New MOT expires 08/08/2018. I've literally done less than 2 miles on the new rear tyres! The car has 71,700 miles on it - i've done less than 250 miles since i've owned it. Most of the pictures were taken the day i got the car hence the lack of number plates (it was on a private plate). The car drives really well - it doesnt have any hot starting issues which are common on these. I'm aware that RX8's can suffer from serious problems so when purchasing this car i was interviewing the seller just as much as checking over the car. The car had failed its 2016 MOT due to emissions, and the issue was identified as a faulty CAT, so this was replaced and the MOT was passed. The previous owner was an orthopedic surgeon who used this as his daily driver on his motorway commute. He bought the car in 2015 with 42k on the clock, and put 30k on himself on the motorway. The exterior of the car is in quite good condition - there are a few minor dents here and there. There is also a little patch of rust forming around the high-level brake light on the rear boot but this is absolutely tiny. The interior is pretty tatty - the black leather has seen better days, with a couple of very minor rips in the seat bolsters, and the centre console area is badly scratched around the elbow areas. Other than that, this car would make an ideal track or drift car, or just a cheap, quick daily driver. Car is located in Biddulph, 20 mins from junction 16 of the M6. This car owes me £1700 so that's what i'm asking for it. Here's a video from the only drift day i did in it.

Hi, £10,000 £9,500 £8,950 For sale is my 2007 (56 Plate) 3.6 TDV8 Range Rover Sport diesel, in black with ivory leather. MOT until 26th March 2019. 120k miles. The car has 3 former keepers (i'm the 4th). This car isn't to be confused with the more common 2.7 Diesel - i've owned one of those too in the past, and the 3.6 is a much better car. It's very rapid with approx 270bhp and 640nm of torque This is the top spec HSE model so includes heated seats, Sat Nav, 4x4 info screen, heated front windscreen, fridge, dynamic cruise control (set distance to car in front and it will maintain the gap). It also has the optional 20" alloy wheels, side steps, black door handles and a tow bar. This car achieves 26mpg on average, or 30mpg on a long motorway run. Bad bits: Occasional clunk from underneath the front - LR specialist garage says this is a normal noise for this model as it has the active anti-roll bar and these do make a noise. Not sure I agree with that but wanted to mention it. Now repaired. Parking sensors not working - it requires a £40 part and 1 hour labour to fix (can be done DIY too). Now repaired. Other than the above, the car is in very good condition. The bodywork is excellent with no scratches/dings/rust etc. The wheels would benefit from a refurb as all have some curbing, but no corrosion. I've been as honest as possible as i don't want to waste people's time. Service history is as follows: 06.12.07 - Hereford Landrover - 15114 miles 11.11.08 - Hereford Landrover - 29440 miles 29.12.09 - Hereford Landrover - 44913 miles 22.03.11 - Hereford Landrover - 58831 miles 22.03.12 - Independent specialist - 68053 miles 06.09.12 - Independent specialist - 76508 miles 13.12.12 - Independent specialist - 80191 miles 06.05.13 - Independent specialist - 85427 miles 13.03.14 - Independent specialist - 89465 miles 19.03.15 - Independent specialist - 96756 miles 29.03.16 - Independent specialist - 102338 miles 27.06.17 - Independent specialist - 115286 miles I also have receipts for the following maintenance completed : 05.08.14 - Replace Air Compressor (Suspension) - £747.60 22.09.14 - New Turbo - £2214.73 23.12.15 - New Alternator - £728.40 23.12.15 - New front Diff & Drive Shafts - £2412.00 11.07.16 - New rear discs, pads and shoes - £117.46 + labour 06.05.16 - 4 wheel alignment - £54.00 03.08.16 - New lower control arms - £162.00 + £180 parts 19.12.16 - New anti roll bar bushes - £135.00 09.02.17 - 1x new tyre - £132.20 29.06.17 - Rear diff oil seals replaced - £140.40 04.07.17 - New anti-roll bar end links £120.00 18.07.17 - 2x intercooler pipes - £120.00 02.12.17 - 2x new EGR valves - £720 Car is located in Biddulph, about 20 mins from junction 16 of the M6. £10,000 £9,500 £8,950

And the A7 was introduced after the original CLS as a rival for in this segment... but Mercedes have seemingly copied the design of the A7 with this. They've not pushed the boundaries enough here at all for me.

I think this looks just... ordinary? I don't think it's particularly great or ugly. I think it'll just disappear into the background of boring cars pretty quickly. Nice interior though.
-
Yeah, I went to Silverstone too this year. It was pretty boring to be fair. We were sat at Stowe so got a great view of Vettel's flat tyre on the last lap, but other than that it was fairly disappointing. I genuinely fell asleep during the race. Shows how quiet the cars are.
