  1. Mmmm nice shoe Sensible compromise though.
  2. Hi guys, Im off work this week and the fiance and i are heading up to the lake district tomorrow for a few days. I've never been before and dont know much about it. Im staying right by Windermere. Can anyone recommend anywhere to hire a boat from? I fancy a bit of relaxing boat action. Also, im aware of the speed restrictions on Windermere so was wondering if any other nearby lakes offer better boating/possibly jetskiing options...? I've been googling for a while and most of the sites seem out of date, so cant get much useful info... Cheers!
  3. Yep, that made me sick on Sunday. I hate Alonso with a passion. The only positive from it though is that Ferrari winning helps our boys at McLaren. If the FIA did decide to strip the points from Alonso/Massa, it would be satisfying for us viewers, but ultimately bad for us.
  4. I think its the recession - most people's renewals have gone up or will go up probably 20% this year. I got a quote for renewal of mine before i sold it, and it went up from £800 to £1200, and as others have said - nothing's changed.

    Fuming !!!!

    ...sounds like a plan!
  6. +1000 Don't listen to the doom mongering of people who've never owned or driven such a car. Just because its £60k less than list doesn't mean its going to be cheap to run. Who would buy an M6 and moan about getting 15 mpg? Servicing will be slightly more than an M3 so budget about £800 for an inspection I and about £1200 for an Inspection II. Servicing intervals on M cars are dictated by the way you drive the car and not the usual 9k/12 months like zeds. Drive it on lots of shorts runs and the service comes sooner etc. I owned my M for 13 months and when I sold it it still said 4k till the next service......... so even though the service costs are high they don't come round that often...... The SMG box is awesome, changes in a millisecond, it can be quite savage when you give it some. And yes you can use the paddles or cruise in auto. Its actually just an automated manual gear box and not a standard auto..... A new clutch at 25k does not neccessarily mean its been thrashed. Its a heavy car with 500bhp going through it, its going to wear out consumables fairly quick, so 25k is pretty reasonable for a car like this... +1 Agree with everything said. I also agree though with what others said that this car is way above the league of a TT Why not look at the 635d? Supposed to be the best in the range according to autocar, and will still be rapid. I think the 535d has the same time as the 350z around the top gear test track, so we know the diesel engine is top notch!
  7. Dont hate me for saying it... but how can either of you put work before your partner? I wouldn't move for my job, or if i did, my missus would be coming with me. You can always get another job, or car, but not always another partner. My best mate is considering moving 200miles away for his Job, and coming home at the weekends to his missus. I just wouldn't do it at all. Not a chance. I hope you get things sorted though.
  8. Yeh the advert is in this week's Autocar. The 370 looks great in the picture...
  9. Well done mate. Have u fitted it with screws/rivets? I had the holes filled over on mine, and stuck it down with silkaflex, a car adhesive. Was a scary time though cos the bumper was more curved than the intake duct and i couldnt get it to sit flush - so i had to sit there with all my weight on it for over an hour without moving! I thought my arms were gonna drop off...!!
  10. He was but he got banned Was he one of the ones banned because of the Wales trip? Nope he was banned for selling stuff on here while not having 15 'valuable' posts. Urban4 or something...
  11. He was but he got banned
  12. I did a sprint day in my tiptronic, on a wet track, on illegal RE040's, and i was all over the place. It was a horrible day! Not helped by the fact that it was 1 run every 15mins, so you could never get any heat in your tyres etc...

    JDM or UK Battery

I took mine to my local independant car store... they didnt have one in stock but ordered it the next day. Much bigger than my JDM one but it fit. The key thing is to get the terminals the right way round. I only paid £47 too, which is cheap for a battery nowadays.
  14. SL Merc would be my ideal... You can get these for £15k now
  15. Interesting... very 'fritzel-esque' though...
  16. Send a private message to ZMANALEX who i s amember on here, he'll sort you out.
  17. Thats nothing... i paid £47 for mine...!
