  1. I mean the pins on the TC side... i.e. on the plug that goes into the ODBII. Thats where mine were loose.
  2. Mine had a loose connection at the ODBII connector. The wires appeared to be still connected and covered by heatshrink, but the they had snapped underneath... so i pulled them off and resoldered them. The throttle should still work as you describe now, but also the screen should illuminate when just plugged into the ODBII and not the throttle... how about getting a 12v source from somewhere (8AA batteries, an electric drill etc) and tapping into the power wires... thats where i'd start...
  3. £164?? Fookin hell, has it got a TV in it?
  4. Yes there is, but i dont know what its called... It's something like a Type 051 or something... Take it to an independant motor factors and they'll know straight away - i paid about £57 for mine if i recall. The thing to be aware of is that the terminals are the wrong way round compared to UK batteries, i.e. + and - are on the opposite sides to normal.
  5. Buy an ODBII code reader off ebay for £20 and read the code. On one of my beemers (e36 shape) i had the common ABS sensor problem, and a light saying ABS came up on the dash so not sure if you have an ABS light on a car fitted with DSC...
  6. So let me get this right (don't want to make them lower after all).......if I'm performing this alteration whilst standing leaning into the bonnet over the front bumper, facing towards the windscreen.....the bolt must be turned 1.5-2.0 turns clockwise? Just do it facing a wall with your lights on and you will clearly see the beam moving up or down...

  8. No way thats made by Valeo - who made my head up display.
  9. So from reading up on it, code p0340 is the normal camshaft position sensor error which i'm not getting so i dont know now... So i've removed the throttle controller anyway and see if it comes back or not.
  10. Yeh... i see what you're both saying... but for something im going to use once in a blue moon, or for getting the odd tight accessable bolt off, it might be useful? Am after an opinion from someone who's used one really.
  11. Hey... Has anyone ever used an electric 12v impact wrench? Are they complete crap or are they pretty good? Such as the below: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wolf-Square-Rev ... 19&sr=1-33 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cosmo-06414-12v ... 19&sr=1-42
  12. Okay, so it's happened again today and i've just read the codes again. Sam - the tip about the codes repeating has cleared it up for me - thanks mate. So the code string im getting is as follows before it repeats itself: 00121381 I'm guesing this is 2x 4 digit codes therefore: 0012 which appears to be 'P0012 'A' Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 1)' but 1381 is not in this list here viewtopic.php?f=17&t=21762... any ideas anyone? I'm not off to search for camshaft position sensor problems, but does anyone have any more info on this? Cheers
  13. Whats wrong with the range rover dude?
  14. I've bought and sold 3x full sets of these wheels on here in the past. All had decent tyres, and all changed hands for £100 for the full set. Therefore i'd say your set are worth £50 plus delivery... ...that said, they dont come along very often anymore so they might go up in price...
  15. I really like both the X5 and the Cayenne, and looked at them both before getting my current zed. However, my favourite car is still the Range Rover, and i was looking at them only just yesterday...! If someone offered me a swap for my zed today for this, i think i'd take it... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p
  16. At the end it says 'Paid for the national coalition of laws can go **** themselves'...
  17. Although i've just realised that they'll be LHD...
