I've done the GTR Drive at Prestwold in Leicester... The track is basic and very wide. They let you push on quite a bit, but 4 laps is over in about 3 minutes so is expensive if you're paying for it (i got it free via tesco clubcard vouchers )

GoPro's are around £180 - £200. I've got one of these too but i've not used it yet... im waiting for my mount to arrive in the post.

I got 35mpg out of a 350-mile round trip once... it was on business and i usually drive my other car but it was in the garage, so i wanted to do it as cheaply as possible in the zed as it costs me money to drive the zed on business typically That was at a constant 59mph. Man it was boring!!

I've got one of these... incredibly cheap so you can get a few for several angles. Just stick them on with double sided tape. Not bad quality for the price... see my vids from Nurgurgring and Donnington below:

Now if my gardener was £6 a time i'd be happy, but no - they charge £20 just to mow both lawns ( and this was the 3rd one i had round for a quote, and was the cheapest). Must only take them 20mins to do. So for me a £75 lawnmower is only 2 months' of mowing, not 6 years

No i wouldnt, as i wouldnt have them on my car - i dont like Bridgestones. I stated why i've gone for the Asymetric in my original post - i will be swapping all of my tyres to the Asymetric when they need replacing in the next 4-5 months - no sense in spending £450 now on a pair of fronts when i dont need to.

So its that time of year again when i have to start mowing the lawns I hired a gardener to do it last year but would rather do it myself i think, as its not that much work - im just lazy! I've got a Flymo Hovermo at the moment which is crap (I had to empty it 17 times today when doing the front and back lawns!), plus it doesnt hover that well - i end up pushing it up and down the lawn with my foot. So - im thinking about getting a 2nd hand petrol mower... want to spend about £75 ideally. I've had a look around and there are lots at this price, but wondered if anyone has any experience with them? What are they like maintenance-wise? Do they cut well or do you have to keep re-tracing your steps? How do the cheap petrol mowers compare to the similarly priced electric mowers with wheels? Any comments welcome.

I can handle Dan but yes, I could drive around on bars of soap and they'd be better than the maxis tyres on my winter rims.

So i picked up a nail in my tyre today (2nd one in the last 7 months ) but it's right on the edge of the tyre so cant be repaired. I've got Goodyear Eagle F1's on at the car (originals, not the asymetrics), but these arent made anymore so cant get hold of them at all... However, having had a look on ebay i've managed to pick up a 245/35/19 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric (new style), with 4.5mm tread on it for just £35 + £12 delivery Dodged a bullet there i think, although not happy that i've got a different tread tyre on the front axle now, but at least they're the same make. Will be replacing them all with F1 Asymetrics as and when they need it as they're a fantastic tyre.

Mines a wierd one... i have a JDM but i swapped to UK tripple guage pod. I still dont have a clock on there but there is one that just flashed and flickers strangely, but i cant do anything with it.

I got an iPad 2 for Christmas and I love it. Just use it for surfing the net and visiting the forum... It's perfect. I also watch downloaded movies/tv shows on it that I've downloaded on my laptop. It's all so quick and seamless that it's just a breeze to use. I tried a lot of other devices before I got my iPad and none compared in terms of the user interface. A surprising use I've found for it is taking it to family events and showing my holiday photos/videos etc - everyone loves it!

That's sickening. Get a couple of Rottweilers to live in the front yard. The police really can't do anything...? On the second video you can see one of them put their hands down on the wall... Would be worth a check for fingerprints. I'd say they were 18-22yrs old too... They're too big for kids. That might sway the police too...
