  1. Thanks for the advice all. I called the SLC today and they said there's nothing at all they can do, as it's my company that pays HMRC monthly, and then HMRC pay the SLC annually. They advised me to check with my employer whether they can do anything about it, as in reality they control what is paid to HMRC.
  2. Yeh im looking forward to seeing them too... ...although i wish i'd have cleaned my car before my shoot...
  3. Ha ha... good plan. Im sure they'll end up giving me money back if i get Ricey on the case. The student loan is paid automatically just like my tax, so i dont want to change anything with my company, i need to set the limit at the student loans end if possible.
  4. I really like it - love the graphite colour of the plenum, and how it contrasts with the silver.
  5. So... does anyone know if it's possible to set a max limit on the amount of money you can pay towards your student loan in a given month? Im paying roughly £200 a month automatically out of my salary, however i've got a bonus due at the end of July and having used an online calculator im going to be hit with a £1000 payment towards my loan (not including all the tax i'll be paying!) Im going to call the student loans company tomorrow and ask them - however im a bit nervous about telling them why i want to set the limit "Why would you like to set a limit Mr Marshall" "Um... because i'm due a load of money and dont want to give you any... " Any advice would be appreciated.
  6. Do you live in a flat or anything like that Jez? i.e. do you have a shared internet connection and/or a proxy that you need to go through such as Webroot?
  7. Heh heh... i remember that feeling! I was lucky when i had my surgery... the day i got out of hospital Grand Theft Auto 4 was released so i played that for 2 weeks solid
  8. +1... you dont want to be paying any more than £60 max if you can help it. If you regularly leave your car for long periods at a time then replace it, else just jump start it and it'll keep you sweet for another year or so.

    M Series.

Friend of mine had an M6... he said you'd need a good warranty with them as the slightest problem will leave you with a bill for ££££. If you've got £20 - 30k to burn on a 'family' car, and go down the route of a Range Rover Sport personally, or if you've got a bit more still then it would be this for me: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p
  10. Possibly the cheapest way into competitive motorsport is to look into sprinting. A colleague at work sprints in his spec-c impreza and has been quite successful. He competes in a 6-date series.
  11. That was a GREAT race...!!!! Absolutely brilliant, so happy for Lewis... long over due.
  12. Nice, lover the blade silver

    Looks really good
  14. When selling a car, i always stick it up at maybe 7-10% more than what i expect to get for it. That wayit leaves some bargaining room so when you get knocked down you can accept that offer, and then both parties feel like they've got a good result.
  15. For me, Micah Richards, Daniel Sturridge, Rio and Peter Crouch should all have been in the squad. I'd have left Downing, Henderson and Martin Kelly at home for sure. The only exciting player in the squad i think is Oxlade-Chamberlain.
  16. Despite him being a total prick, what he's saying is true (apart from him walking into the team). The players that have missed out on the squad is quite shocking, whilst there are a few shocking inclusions.
  17. I feel your pain... at in 2008 i had very similar surgery... My L5/S1 is pretty much dead and the one below that (the very bottom one) is severely damaged. I was 24 years old so they said they wouldnt do a disc replacement on me as they said it only lasts about 10 years, so they did something called a 'Wallis Ligament Procedure' where they insert a piece of artificial ligament on one side of my spine, which is then tightened to ease the pressure on my discs. I also went private, and was in hospital for 4 nights, and also did the fainting thing when trying to walk However - the absolute most important thing that you have got to do is GO TO PHYSIO! I didnt, as i wasnt referred, and basically had no post-op support. As a result my back got progressively worse as the muscle they cut through became so weak, and in my first 2 years following the surgery, my disc continued to slip and i was off my feet for lengthy periods frequently. I could stand up for only 30mins at a time, and couldnt walk anywhere far. Sadly for me however, i would deem my surgery a failure as the pain still affects me on an almost daily basis. I am unable to do any physical exercise with the exception of cycling, which really depresses me. I used to play sunday league footy, basketball, and also boxed (so i was doing exercise 6 nights a week) but i now cant do any of this, and have since put on 5-stone So - good luck to you, take it easy, enjoy your time off work, but please go to physio!!!!
  18. Pics and vids of your drifting please...
  19. Add 25% onto my figure for your car as a non Cat C, add on £1500 for it being two years younger but minus £500 for the extra mileage, and that what I'd pay for your car. Maybe add the £500 back for being a UK car, although take it back off it it doesnt have the GT pack
  20. Love the badge on yours Ian... When i get my front end resprayed i might have a look at something like this on my V1 (if i can find a flat place for it) rather than replacing my decal on the bonet.
