  1. I'm sure I do not really need to post this but it is always worth checking with the insurer if they will cater for your future modifications.. http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/car-club-insurance.html
  2. It can be hit and miss. Run the same quote with over 5 modifications and see what result you get then.
  3. Speak to a specialist insurer if you can, price comparison sites are guilty of selling stripped back policies with many exclusions (eg DOC cover, courtesy car etc) Feel free to give us a try, link below: http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/car-club-insurance.html
  4. We may be able to squeeze it through
  5. The vehicle value may need to be adjusted but a renewal would be invited. http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/car-club-insurance.html
  6. We have an excellent family fleet policy which may be worth giving a try, some details are here on the GTR OC homepage: http://www.gtr.co.uk/
  7. I'd find it very unlikely but unfortunately yes, there is the potential for a claim to be invalided yes. A good comparison for this would be decats.
  8. I've been invited to post a reply on this thread. A rather generic reply I'm afraid, we can insure cars with most modifications but it is down to you to make sure you car is road legal. Ollie Sky Insurance http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/insurance-quote.html
  9. Sorry to hear about this, I remember reading your leaving post on IMOC recently. I feel for your father , he must feel bad but these things happen I guess! Ollie
  10. www.moris.co.uk for one off track day cover. Be careful with level of cover and excesses!
  11. Indeed, same applies to insurers charging more for cars kept in garages than kept on the street.
  12. The answer is driven by statistics.. this particular insurer will have a worse claims/loss ratio from cars with trackers fitted to those without. Madness when you common sense check it but that applies to a lot of things in this industry Ollie Sky Insurance
  13. Definitely, she does it with me all the time! Ollie
  14. Agreed, tough time with the last Zed which could have put the poor thing off for life! I'm not if the full story will ever come out but it really was horrendous.
  15. Thanks for being a brilliant customer who does things like this for us Ollie
  16. Cheque's in the post Neil
  17. Hi, feel free to PM me your details and I'll have a look. In some cases (pretty rare) we do require trackers to be fitted, as ever this is usually linked to the postcode and possibly vehicle value. Hard to say without the details though. Thanks Ollie Sky Insurance
  18. We wouldn't entertain a 21 year old on a 350Z at the moment unfortunately
  19. Just picking up on this, it doesn't sound right, we insure many people via our car club scheme with business use , myself included. I am not sure what this issue was but if you would like to me to find out, please PM me your details. Thanks Ollie Sky Insurance
  20. Cornwall or the highest reaches of Scotland.
  21. You forgot 'driveway' and just to be clear, we ([sky] via our scheme underwriters) would most definitely NOT load your premium for keeping the car in a garage, when I answered you last week I made it quite clear that some insurers will load but not all.
  22. I noticed! And yes, the Dartford area is pretty horrendous area for us for imports, modified and performance cars.
  23. Also, and for what is is worth, I live just outside St Albans which is an 'AL' postcode, I live in the middle of absolutely nowhere, I have an electronic gate at the end of my drive, chickens running around the garden, nothing to see but farm land. My insurance went up significantly when I moved to the address, the reason being is that just down the road is Hatfield which is much higher risk than St Albans. It is a postcode lottery but what else do insurers have to go by?
