Also, and for what is is worth, I live just outside St Albans which is an 'AL' postcode, I live in the middle of absolutely nowhere, I have an electronic gate at the end of my drive, chickens running around the garden, nothing to see but farm land. My insurance went up significantly when I moved to the address, the reason being is that just down the road is Hatfield which is much higher risk than St Albans.
It is a postcode lottery but what else do insurers have to go by?
