Type of car does influence - for example, the Honda S2000 is a huge risk, generally because most drivers of the car don't realise what will happen if you hit the vtec when going round a bend. Many many written off cars - so this in particular is a high risk car. Classic Impreza's are also considered high risk because of the amount of car you get for the money - It also became clear that because of the lower value - some drivers view them almost as disposable cars, this is obviously a huge concern to insurers. "Crews putting Honda's into hedges" might be something that IS considered by insurers when they decide their rate for this car. Many thanks Chris

Hi y'all, I'm really sorry for missing the Brighton meet - I would have loved to have attended. I have one very good excuse and then one very bad excuse too...I had fatal case of manflu (Bad excuse!) - but on the same day I ran 10k Warrior Adrenaline Race (think a softer version of tough mudder) - Raised a lot of money for charity but a shame they fell on the same day. I'm not the biggest fan of trade stands, I like walking through the events and meeting everyone without the pretence of the 'hard sell' - But I will see you all this summer, not just professionally, but personally I want to come and meet and get to know the 350z and the owners. I'm now into my 3rd month of Z ownership and am really taken by the car. For those who don't know, my car history is heavily influenced by the forced induction jap cars from the 1990-2000 era - the 350z,frankly makes most of the older cars look like toys by comparison. Ricey is correct - You declare all MODS to your insurer then there won't be an issue in the event of a claim. Aside from this we are not too concerned - it is really up to you. I hope this helps Chris Sky

No, put the length of time you have actually owned the car, not something made up.

There is no rhyme or reason to a lot of the price comparison/internet insurer peculiarities

Shop around yes, but also compare level of cover and if possible, service (eg mid-term adjustments etc)
