I'm running the original mps on mine and am on my second set on the rears, I think they are generally very good, not as grippy as the 'stones in the dry but defo much better in the wet. The esp is far more predictable when in the wet. I seem to get the same mileage out of the mps as PS2 from what I've read, usually 10k on the rears and am on 25k on the fronts with about 4mm left on them! I'm torn to try the PS2's but would love the Goodyear F1 but don't think they do them in 225/45/18's.

Happy Birthday Tilly (nobody else has really mentioned it!) Nice looking mods, PM me if your in the area would be great to see the car (and you and the 'young 'un ) if you fancy dropping in for a coffee, I know April would love to see you again!

PM sent mate. I could do with the info, got flashed in Alfreton the other night, was doing 40 in a 30, and I thought it was a 40 - well p****d off as I've got a clean license.

^^^ Cool, the Ruabon - > Llangollen -> Horshoe pass is one of my favourite ahem, cough, spirited drives....

I take it the ESP didnt kick in (or you had it switched off). From the 12 months I have had my car I find the back end quiet unpredictable. The ESP kicks in too soon when the roads are dry and very often too late (or never!) when the roads are wet (especially when leaving roundabouts). Still wouldn't change the Z for anything else!

Smoking brakes / discs is normal after hard use - are you sure they need replacing? If the pads are grinding then Yes they are but I would have them checked first before spending £££ on a new setup. I've had mine smokin twice, once in Milbrook and the other week when I was trying to bed in my new pads. Just my opinion.

Looks fantastic! Personally, I love the orange finish from your photos! The bodykit looks fantastic on it as well. Oh, and don't mod it for at least a year - modding it will mean time off the road when you should be driving it - especially in what summer we have left! Well chuffed for you fella!

^^^ Thanks for the link Prometheus...., will print this out and take with me!

Hi Guys, My car is going in for it's MOT this Friday and I think I read in the past something about not letting the garage put the Z on a rolling road / something to do with damaging the LSD? Can anybody shine any light on this before I go this week please?
-
We passed near Chester races, your's was the same colour as mine - anybody on here? We passed a glancing smile lol!

Not that I'm an expert but isn't vibration in the steering wheel down to the weights in the wheels? Your local garage should charge £5 - £10 per wheel to align them, might be quicker for you. Squealing brakes - why not try a jetwash in the calipers - might just be dust build up - I had the same problem and eventually it will go away - you could try 10 medium force braking from 60mph which should help as well. Just make sure you let the brakes cool down after as well. I have had my CD player changed at a Nissan dealer. They don't send the old unit off, that is total b'llocks! All they do, is remove the head unit, photocopy the back, fax off the serial number/model number that they photocopied to NMGB and 5 - 10 days later a new one arrives and they fit! Go back and tell them!!!

This reminds me of my 12 month stint with the M6 going north (opposite direction to you Stan). It must be the road, isn't the M6 by Stoke supposed to have the highest incidents in the country? Anyway, I had my fair share of road rage on the M6! Being cut up, tailgating, it must have happened at least once a week. Some mornings I would get to work and be stressed from the road rage, not the journey! Strange thing road rage, we bump into each other in streets and say 'sorry mate' - in cars, it turns into war! So Stan, your not on your own mate!

^^ Nah, he's just a plane spotter Either that, or Stan took his Zed through Tinkersdale on his lunch break - you know where I mean don't you Stan Nice camera btw! -
Hi Mike, I've seen that white Zed as well, I think it was in the garage in Broughton on the way to Tesco? BTW, call me a marter but your postcode is showing in the link on autotrader, might give a wrong 'un the opportunity if you know what I mean ;-)

Just come back from a business trip and I hired a Fiat 500 for a laugh. Well it backfired on me, it was a great car. It is sooo small on the outside but when you are in it there is loads of room upfront. It was a top of the range diesel, it had the works, digital aircon, mp3 player, and even a USB slot for your mp3's. There's a windows button on the steering wheel for playing for USB direct - cool. I think it had bluetooth phone capability as well as there was a phone button on the wheel but when I pressed it the language was obviously dutch or german I think! I think it had leather bolsters as well, but they might have been leatherette ! Still nice though, and comfortable. Loads of space in the boot - I could fit 2 luggage bags (the ones you can take in the hold on a plane) and 2 laptop bags, probably the same as a zed boot - IMO. Would I recommend one to my mrs - defo! Beats the Fiesta and Clio by a mile... But my god, does it look small on the outside, so deceiving when you are in it! Does look very much like a mini from the back though!

How are you getting on Tim - any joy? Hope you sort it, I see the weather is gorgeous at the moment.

This is quiet funny - my misses saw a load of you on the Chester bypass at around 6pm after she dropped me off at the airport! Great day, I was truely gutted I had to drive on when I saw you all turn left out of Bala...

Shall we give them a beep o' the horns as well - haha that'll wake them up on a Sunday morning Better still, exhaust notes might sound cool!

Hey Stan, Can I have some cookies - I can have them on my flight that night - cheers bud -
Guys, I've made arrangements for my folks to take some photos as we pass on the Mold Bypass! Give them a wave - they'll be in the lhs layby on the way down I'll ask my sis to come along and see if she can do a flyby video for us as well So Stuey - when you see them try and slow us down a little so they can get more shots! As I am now out of the country 80% of the time my g/f has the pleasure of driving the Zed instead of her Clio. It could well have been her on the M6! Cheers Mate ;-) She wouldn't tell me what she thought of the Zed to drive as it would make my head swell...........

Ok, as St Davids is only 1 mile from my house I can meet whoever there and then drive to Chester services. Will be better for me as I need to leave at around 3pm anyway as I'm flying to Stockholm....
