Mate I was working for Ericsson in Stockholm for the last 6 months (back in the UK now). Their underground has the best system in the world!!! The people are the friendliest in the world! The beer is expensive but is worth it for what entertainment you get !!! Places to go are Sturebadet, ostermalmsborg, Slussen & the old town! Try O'Connells in the old town for reasonable priced beer & excellent fish & chips. Beer is about £5 each, whiskey & coke about £8! Had a look at your hotel it's in a good tourist place right by the underground - PLEASE use them they are fantastic!!! Be warned that I think if your flying with Ryanair then you are flying to Skavsta (which is a 90min bus transfer away from Stockholm and if I recall is £25 each for the return - DO NOT GET A TAXI - it's £125 each way!!!) If you need any more pm ok

Having had my first SLR for my birthday (Canon EOS 450d) i'm learning all this as well! The only thing I would emphasis is defo take spare memory cards and I personally wouldn't stick to one 8gb card I would take 4 2gb cards instead. It would be hell to loose all those great holiday photos.

I'm after either a full new cold induction kit, K&N filter (like the oem) or just an oem filter. If anybody has avail - let me know. I'm not sure if I have tha balls to replace the full induction or just replace the filter so am just gaging interest. Ta.

I think your clicking driveshafts are more important than plugs IMO. Get it done under warranty - assuming the car is < 3 years old?
-
Greekman - surely if it's only 9k service I assume the car is still under warranty? If your concerned about the plugs then I would raise it as a warranty issue, I had my plugs changed at 54k cost me about £250 with labour.

Had a P1 this morning at Nissan Chorley, supplied my own oil total cost = £113 - beat that They were also very polite, very helpful - asked if I wanted a coffee and shown me how to use the Flavia coffee machine. The price came out cheper than the last P1 as well (£119). One another note, Nissan Chester quote me £340 for a P1 - come on PLEASE do they really think we are that stupid! I therefore drove to Chorley from Chester & back and it was still a damn sight cheaper. Can't praise Chorley enough, quick service in and out in 1 1/2 hours and they cleaned the car. I will be phoning their GM to praise them I think.... Beavis can you upgrade Chorley in the list? I think they're better than fairly good tbh in my experience. Chester should go on the bad list for their prices... -

Are we gonna meet up in the Wrexham area before we head down? Any plans peeps??? -
Update - TDI Warrington can do a P1 for £99+vat I've asked about supplying my own oil, so I'm guessing it's around £60 with the oil filter & me supplying my own oil....massive difference to Nissan's prices.
-
£349.99 Chester Nissan !!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF! After some negotiation they said £230, I said no - I will supply my own oil they said OK £180... Still too expensive, I've paid £120 at Nissan Chorley for a P1 supplying my own oil. Chester's excuse was they are a City Centre dealership (3 miles outside Chester mind and nothing to do there...) £89.99 per hour labour..... And the toilets stank in there last time I was there...disgrace...

Not stealing this thread, but Bala related: Went to Bala for a spin yesterday, the bikes were everywhere, nearly saw a fatality when 2 bikes overtook me and a tractor pulled out on them! An oncoming bike also pulled out on my metres away what a dick. On the way back there was a fatality by the petrol station towards the traffic lights. The police were also stopping lots of bikes and checking their exhausts. We also saw a police helicopter maybe monitoring the speeders. I guess the police thought it was the last sunny day for bikers and took the opportunity to catch them out. So all in all, looks like a lot of people were stressed (or trying to release stress ) yesterday

Best way to spend £120 in my opinion (that's working on 2 tanks of fuel), I'd bet you'd spend more than that on shopping ! Sod the miles....this is the bala run

I'm really looking forward to this, one of the reasons why I didn't go to Silverstone IMO this is a much better meet. And I can stay all day this time, not like last time when I had to leave early! I wonder what Stan will be bringing this time .... Can't believe it's been some 5 months since the last meet, this year is flying.

Mike - are you getting married this year or next year 2009? The thread starts off by saying youre getting married next year. I guess we won't see the wedding dress then! -
I had problems with Endless SSS causing inconsistent wear on the discs, replaced with CCX which seemed to have caused brake judder, now back to OEM. *** Sig now updated***
-
I'm so glad you got them today, I wanted to make sure they got there for the weekend! All I can say is Phil sorted me a set of OEM brake pads to try and rule out the pads causing my brake judder from 70mph. They arrived next day, fitted them and there was an instant improvement. This problem has been going on for 6 months now. All I know is my brake judder has now gone and my brakes now feel normal. Words cannot describe how p'd off I felt when braking hard, my girlfriend's clio braked better. I tried and tried to bed them in but they wouldn't have it. I very nearly decided to replace the lot, discs & pads, and that would have cost me £££, so a small gesture to ESR was worth every penny. Do you know what guys, Phil even offered to talk me through fitting them over the phone. I nearly took him up but it was raining hard so I went down the easy option and paid small change for a local garage to fit them (and it's was raining hard last weekend so that put me off!) Anyway sorted now - cheers Phil, you are a true legend and a gentleman. Nice to know there are still some good people in this world. Hopefully catch up with you at Bala! Thanks a lot

I think this is a lesson we can all learn from and unfortunately Andy did - from reading Liam's post he nearly did as well. Sometimes my g/f drives my car, I would hate her to be in that situation. Well, I don't know about you lot but if I get shunted I wont be stopping.... Glad your OK though.

Tunnels, 3k revs second gear window open slow acceleration... That makes me feel alive every time !
-
I'll second that, the low down bass is just non existent. I hope the GT-R has a better premium bose package.

Defo original MPS on mine and not PS2, I guess the garage must have had old stock! Still a good experience. I'm running these:- And NOT these:-
