  2. fab fab fab day - met loads of people - nice and friendly as well! Thanks to the mods for organising. Pics will follow - too knackered to concentrate. But I did manage to do one important thing so...do you know what I did... I've just made a donation to this website
  3. Finally managed to get the ECU reset to work! Took it for a spin....currently being monitored. But, oh my god - where did that noise come from !
  4. Negative lead was disconnected for 5 hours today, yes I was slow but took my time ! Surely that would have reset the ecu, or maybe I am panicking as the ecu is still learning? Anyway, ecu reset it'll have to be - not going back out mrs will kill me....
  5. Thanks Sarnie - I've got a right headache thinking about what's going on! Is this the ECU reset procedure: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89 - looks like a right ball ache!
  6. Hi All, Installed my K&N cai tonight, it was a bit of a pain to fit but worth it I reckon. Started car after install - all fine, no engine light on - Took the car out for a spin great, sounds fantastic. Went back home. About 15 mins later had to go back out, started car then it stalled. Started again and the idling was about 800rpm. The idling previously was around 1-1200rpm. I also noticed the average fuel mpg as 15mpg, now I know I gave it some beans but that doesn't seem right. I checked all pipes and hoses and they are fine and nothing has moved. Should I do an ECU reset - anybody experienced this problem? I spoke to 3FiddyZ who recommended an ecu reset but just wanted to see if anybody can comment - thanks...Mark.
  7. No Stuey this year? Havent seen him on here for a while... No DJTIMO ? No Little Miss? What's going on...losing interest?
  8. Sorry all I cant make tomorrow now, I have to deal with a family issue. All the best Mike - will still be coming on Sunday.
  9. Thankyou to all for your help! I have the K&N instructions they're not the easiest to follow to say the least. PM sent to 3fiddy cheers mate! Watch this space.... maybe tonight it'll be on...maybe it'll be in bits I'll try and take some pics as I go along.
  10. That is cheap for that price defo full RAC check. As the others have said - mine is a 54 plate rays were an option - the previous owner had them fitted. Are you sure that's the OEM satnav? I can't see any satnav buttons in the centre console by the screen? Other than that if it's sweet go for it, just make sure you run through the common list of problems e.g Clicking rear drive shaft. Oh and check the discs, pads & tyres - mega money and room for negotiation!
  11. No Cakes this time Stan Cheers Phil, said he was a flippin nice bloke
  12. Yes it does, I have 2 blue pipes, 1 cone k&n filter, 1 box with 2 pipes (where the filter lives) & what looks like a carbon fibre cover - sorry if I sound noob... It is one of these http://www.knfilters.com/news/news.aspx?ID=13
  13. Yes Mike it is...nothing is simple...what is aqualock...google here I come...
  14. Hi all, Anybody have a step by step guide with photos on how to fit a cold air intake (preferably K&N), I bought a ful cold intake with pipes and wouldn't mind some photos if anybody took the trouble to do this. It's got the blue bling pipe with carbon fibre cover I've read the K&N guide but it recommends removing the splash guard and I am thinking I'll need ramps to do this? I'm hoping to fit this tomorrow before the Bala run - so please help me out ! As usual all help appreciated - ta.
  15. It looks like rain all weekend in Bala so I wouldn't waste too much wax! But saying that I hope it at least stays off on Saturday for Mr & Mrs xStric9x!
  16. Ah, I get it - his sunglasses are reflecting off his Z slippers
  17. Chees Mike! ooohh....not long now..... hope the weather is nice for you.
  18. Anybody recommend a good company that refurbs alloys? One of mine has taken a beating, kerbed and flaking. Ideally in the North West please. Any ideas ?
  19. Brilliant! Any chance we can have a group buy of dem slippers? Can I have mine in Blue ta.
  20. Ok here's the extract from my Swedish friends email:- "I think it wouldn't be a problem.... Methinks sobriety might be more of an issue!!! *big grin* And they might get cold!!! Ha ha ha..." So, balls in your court...
  21. Beavis hit the nail on the head!
  22. Just had a thought, I'll email one of my friends over there - Swedish Lady and she'll know! I'll be in touch. Remember O'Connells if you want some good grub it's in Gamla Stan www.oconnells.se/bar.shtml, they're cheaper with the beer as well.
  23. Sorry fella's not meant to be offensive I was comparing dress code which stands out i.e. fancy dress and never saw it in Stockholm.......... Digs self out of deep hole... Anyway, I spent the time writing up my review so I hope that makes up for it ! Personally, just go with your best gear you'll have a flippin great time....everybody speaks english you'll be GOBSMACKED!
  24. Was in Bala again yesterday... went to the pub for Sunday lunch as well ! I just hope the weather isn't as bad next week it was awful yesterday. We were planning our wedding again for next year. By the way, any chance May 17th can be next year's Zed meet? You can all get invited to a BBQ on Sunday in a Marquee in a 17th Century House surrounded by 2000 acres of land
  25. tbh mate I don't think kilts will go down well. The swedes are a bit reserved, I never saw any fancy dress while over there. I would take the kilts with you and see what the weather is like as well! The door men can be very particular as well, if your just going to standard bars then maybe ok, if your going to the winebars then NO CHANCE guaranteed! Think of Sweden nightlife as dress to impress - have a look at www.finest.se Note what they are wearing as well - probably about 8degress there at the moment, Ahhh, it takes me back!
