  1. Going to look at some Clio iii's tomorrow for the mrs, anybody running one for their other half on hear and have any experience of them? Anybody know what to look out for, seen a couple of private ads 56 plate around 20k mileage, £5200 - good deal or should I haggle hard in this market? (Going to view these cars in my old runaround as not to appear too flash in the Zed.... ) Any tips for how to haggle ?
  2. Mine only sprays magic mist the first time the screenwash is used when the lights are on....I think this is pretty standard on cars, is the same on Lexus as well. Magic Mist....
  3. I agree on the stupid pistonhead bumper stickers, will make you look like a right chav. The car doesn't deserve this! Price wise, you have to go as cheap as possible with that kind of mileage, how long are you planning on keeping the car for? Personally, I would save up more, wait and get something with lower miles. You'd probably only regret it in the future.
  4. Servicing schedule is wrong... Should be every 9k miles not every 12k miles, flippin Nissan numpties!!!!
  5. I cannot praise Falken FK452's enough, just had a full set fitted and after the factory gel has gone the grip is immense in both the wet & dry. I can honestly say they are noticebly different to the MPS I had fitted before, and at half the price it's a no brainer. I also noticed the Falken's are a hell of a lot quieter vs the mps when shifting standing rain. I ran a test last night on one of my regular b roads and noticed the traction control didnt kick in half as much as the mps did (even when the tread was new). The falkens also don't seem to crash as bad over potholes vs the mps. I do circa 30k miles a year and am qualified to honestly say the falken's IMO are better than the MPS. I just think the Falken's suit the zed really well - top tyre! So, fitted 14/11/8 full set £434, I think I was quoted circa £720 for the MPS. That's roughly £300 less I must say I am truely gobsmacked by how better these tyres feel, I was kinda thinking I made a mistake and should have gone for the £££ premiums, but what a good choice I made.

    New Car !!

Oh, and don't forget to wear your Zed slippers Seriously though, it looks quality!
  7. While on my journey to work yesterday I witnessed an old shape Audi RS6 being followed by a 350z and then Mini Cooper S Works. I wasn't surprised that the RS6 had fantastic performance and it gained quiet a lot on the zed but the Mini kept up with the zed but didn't gain at all.... I know the 0-60 is 6.5 on the Mini but surprising that .5 of a second doesn't make any difference... I know about the power to weight ratio and how much fuel the driver was carrying etc...but I bet the mini wasn't doing low 20 mpg's during this spirited moment I wonder if the driver of the zed is on this forum? I was in a Pathfinder at the time.
  8. Went for the Falkens, I was curious to compare how they perform....plus, I also want a new lens for my camera for the £350 I saved
  9. Have started a new thread, please keep this one on topic (and me ) http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=248288#248288
  10. OK, before I bite the bullet and go for the Falken's tomorrow does anybody have reservations if I should stay with MPS or a premium brand, price isn't really an issue as the tyres are the only link to the road and I do circa 25k miles a year so want something really good. Decided on the FK452 after so many good reviews and was curious if they compare much to the premium brands. So should I go FK452 or up to a premium brand? Let me know cheers guys.
  11. Price £436 vs £700 and thought I'd give the falkens the experience
  12. 2 things really, I wanted to get a new setup before the winter kicks in and secondly I don't have much time after tomorrow to get them fitted. And don't really like running them under 3mm. 1/2 mm will probably only last about 1k miles do you think anyway?
  13. Just gauging interest, tomorrow I'm having a full set of Falkens fitted. Rather than hand over a really good set of Michelin Pilot Sports with approx 3.5mm tread to the garage (who I am sure will flog on anyway) - I was wondering if anybody would be interested in them maybe for a track day? They're all in really good condition, no feathering, no punctures and the tread wear is even across the tyres. Cost me £750 originally. Collection only due to the weight - North Wales / Cheshire area. Make me an offer - and I'll see if it's worth me keeping hold of them. PM if interested.
  14. Nice legs shame about the face
  15. Defo growing on me, esp. with nismo kit. Anybody know what colours will be available? Probably still a mad idea to buy new esp. when the 350z depreciation costs are so high!
  16. No headlamp washers on this then?
  17. SOLD What's going on with that photo with the dog in the passenger seat, puts a whole new meaning to dogging.....
  18. I think it looks great with the Nismo kit on it Which traders will be importing this anybody know?
  19. ^^ Second Digsy, DT buggered mine up as well and the wheel was out, went elsewhere to get it fixed. Takes the pis when they charge £50 for this.
  20. It also depends on how much the car is selling for! My 54 plate has done 62k miles, I'm still on the first clutch, it's always had a notchy second gear, the clutch is heavy and bites high. As far as I'm concerned these are normal characteristics of the car. I wouldn't walk away if it's a good price, sounds like a similar miled car to mine and mine is mint! No problems at all. The only thing I would watch out for are discs, pads & tyres and a P3 service which is due around mid 60k's. Check Ray's are not corroded as well (if it has them). Why don't you send us the link so we can see it! But.... if your planning on doing a lot of miles (I've done 30k in 1 year...business & lots of pleasure).... bear in mind that 20k will put the miles up to 76k in 1 year. Good luck!
  21. I think it's growing on me! ESR defo done a fantastic job, you can see that in the finish in the photos.... I do think it's missing a bigger VS style rear spoiler to finish off the look. The oem spoiler looks out of place now - sorry for making you spend more money
