  1. WFH got up at 9.30, sent 3 emails, 1 = timesheet, 2 = time report for this week, 3 = invoice Peeled spuds, prep'd veg, went to fancy dress shop, went on a spirited drive.... Is that good enough to justify WFH?
  2. How much tread is left on the tyres??? if it's 5mm or less then your only looking at a few thousands miles (Full set of Falkens around £450), any corrosion on the alloys? Use this for your negotiation plus the time you will have to spend in a garage!!! I would start at £7k and work up slowly, I bet he aint got may other takers at this time of year.... Bargain to be had with 37k on the clock ffs! That thing will go for miles! I can't imagine there are many stone chips on it either. I can't think of anything better than new discs, pads & exhaust - they'll last for ages!
  3. It's not the driveshaft is it? That clicks if it's playing up when you drive off slowly. Like you said - warranty jobbie if it's not the discs or pads. I've got a spare set of endless pads in the garage if you need to try them. PM me if you wanna try them Stan, I'm at home tomorrow if your in work.
  4. And it depends on how much fuel you were carrying vs him, and it depends on your weight vs his. Funnily enough I had a type r on my back end last night he didn't keep up with me, not that much in it but I could see I had the gain. Then I slowed down and he must have been in the 8k - 9k range 'cos it made a right noise going past, not sure if I liked it but it sure sounded like the engine was screamiiiiin!

  6. Oistins fish fry on Friday nights if you can get there Lovely place imo much better than Jamaica.
  7. Wasn't this your last car Only joking me old mucka!
  8. No need to jack the car up! Just turn the wheel so the tyre is pointing out towards you so you can get clearance to the clips in the lining in the wheel arch. I've done mine twice, it's not easy more of a pain as you get stratched to f**k when pulling the lining back and trying to get your hand inside to the bulb! And yes, those LED cheapo bulbs are crap IMO they don't clip on properly - I bought a set and they wouldn't clip in properly so didn't bother.
  9. Do you post to Wales? I will need your bank account details to transfer the monies Fine bud.....nice bit of kit you got there
  10. Sounds like a good idea maybe you & me will start a group buy when were due!
  11. what's the longest anybody has gone on their first clutch? Mine's on 64k and first clutch Just watch it go now Isn't the smell after hard driving from the fuel - that's what mine smells like (but I guess you'll know if it's the clutch because it stinks)
  12. Look's lovely from the photos but:- 1) Has the car just been serviced - 36k, should be 9,18,27,36 etc? 2) Discs & Pads - my old favourite - mine needed doing at this mileage -say £800 for the lot. 3) Clicking rear axle? 4) Clicking CD player? 5) Ask about any lights on the dash e.g. flashing airbag. 6) Not sure if the spark plugs are due as it's 5 years old - usually 60k - somebody might be able to clarify this, I think they're around £300. 7) Ask him where he had it serviced and ring the garage with the numberplate and they will tell you what the car has had done. It's a buyers market, negotiate him down, if it's that good, then it's worth a drive up - to at least check my list Not that I want to put a dampener on this - but just tick the boxes bud
  13. Keep you eye out for a front bumper Andrew please, oh and if you have an oem gear knob then first dibs ok!
  14. Gutted for you...ESR meant so much on this forum. BUT...Phil's health is more important than anything... Is the GT-R going as well? That will be very hard for Phil I guess.
  15. Get the brakes bled - process of elimination...could be brake master cylinder. Does the pedal feel spongy - try pumping it when driving to see if you notice anything odd? Any warranty left on the car - take it to Nissan ASAP.
  16. I was a bit dubious about installing a pop charger, but when I installed my K&N typhoon a couple of months ago it makes a world of difference to the noise...groin factor 10! But no increase in whp. If you like noise, fit a pop charger, find a tunnel and then come back and tell us what you think
  17. Nice thought Martin - thanks! I moonpig' a card last night - should be at the office next week
  18. Thanks all! I haven't even tried cd-rw as I assumed they wouldn't work - they never worked in my IS200, and I assumed a similar setup in the 350z.
  19. That's great news Andew! As others have asked if we want to send get wells cards will it be easier to send them to ESR's address where you can pick them up and take to the hospital? Cheers...Mark.
  20. Haven't seen this aswered, tried googling but couldn't find an answer. Before I burn a CD-RW and waste my time - will it work? Ta.
  21. LED all the way Great for lighting up your followers....esp. as it's sooo dark out there!
  22. And why is it all detective programs when locking their cars on the TV 'blip' can be heard, and they all have the same 'blip' as well ! Creases me up when I hear them. My 54 has no blip and you have to unlock twice to unlock the passengers door. Hands up how many passengers have tried to open the door just too quickly and the passengers door becomes wedged ffs! And you have to push the door hard to close and then try and double unlock the remote to open - stupid design.
  23. I was only talking with you both some 3-4 weeks ago in Warrington when you picked up the GT-R, I think this is a very important message to us all that we should make the most of being healthy. Glad Phil is making steady progress Andew - he has a lot going for him in life and I am sure his strength is showing!
  24. Mate, do you really want part worns on your zed? It's the only link to the road Seriously, one area I would never ever cut corners on, you just don't know the part worn history....
