Just reviving this as it came up in another thread. I fitted mine today, I also bought - http://www.ebay.com/itm/FITS-INFINITI-G37-G37S-G35-NISSAN-370Z-370-Z-6MT-CLUTCH-PEDAL-ASSIST-SPRING-/201111152023?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ed328a597&vxp=mtr I've noticed a slight improvement but not massive...still early days. There's some good guides on the other forums, I followed them and it was easy....just a bit awkward as not much space down there!

Car now throwing slip light on with hard throtle
NWZ replied to nissanman312's topic in 370z General
OK guys I can also confirm it is pads. I ordered a full set from eBay from a Nissan dealer (think I paid £120 all round) - they are the oem akebona one's. Great service as they came with replacement pins and a small sachet of copper grease. Had the rears replaced as they were really low. The fronts are fine so they were left. No fluid replaced or topped up and now the brake light doesnt flash when accelerating hard..job done! Sticky time for this thread mods? -
Mine did this on the day I bought it- mileage was 36k at the time. I sh.. myself as I thought the clutch had gone. Anyway, it hasn't done it since! And that was 3 months ago.

Car now throwing slip light on with hard throtle

This is what I read a well, and they also advise not to top up fluid. My fluid seems fine by the way so I reckon it's my pads. It's not really clear in the manual however. -

Here - I put money on our problem being brake pads, I think the dealer said my rears had 5k on them when I bought 3 months ago so at least they were honest. And if it is pads then you shouldn't top up the fluid as it will overflow when the pads are replaced. http://www.the370z.com/brakes-suspension/52029-have-problem-brake-light-traction-light-comes.html -
Zed Owners MUST READ! P0011, P0021 Caused by "OIL Gallery GASKETS"
NWZ replied to laytonanthony's topic in 370z General
Thanks for this, interesting read. Isn't this a recall if Nissan have revised the gaskets? And I've never seen this before either so I think mods should make this a sticky (unless already done). -

This is spooky!!! TOO SPOOKY! Mine did this today, I overtook in the wet but still being a bit sensible as I've got Bridgestones. My slip light came on and stayed on, I stopped a bit then restarted and then it went off. Now when changing gear from hard revs the brake light flashes once. I read earlier that it could be brake pads and if they are low a lot of the brake fluid stays in the caliper (or something along those lines) which then causes the sensor to think the brake fluid is low. Makes me wonder if it is brake pads as that would explain why the ESP slip light stayed on, I think the manual says this as well. My brakes feel great otherwise and my hill hold is still holding. I'll check my levels tomorrow. If it's not pads then I'm a bit concerned having to top up the brake fluid as I've never had to do this on any of my old cars incl. 350z. -
I heard you coming, I was in a field walking my dog - thought I recognised that sound, Orange 350z HR sounded lovely! Who was it then? How dare you pass near my house and not stop by to say hello ha.

Considered going contracting? That's where I ended up after being made redundant 8 years ago...not looked back. Oh, and agents take them with a pinch of salt - they promise the world but your only a £ at the end of the day...be proactive, spend your time off 9-5 searching for jobs or learning some new stuff... Not a bad time of the year to find work to be honest as most people seem to look more outside of winter. Good luck...Oh, and make sure your CV is the dogs...that's where you stand out with the pimps.

Definitely not clicky axle it has a different sound.

Thanks guys, is the guy in Queensferry in Flintshire as that is near me or is it Queensferry Scotland? Or recommend anybody else? I can send it off if need be?

As i'm getting more used to my 370z I've noticed the drivers side thigh bolster has pretty much collapsed or the foam has fallen down. I can feel a metal bar on my right thigh when sitting in the car. Pretty crap considering it's only 5 years old with 40k. Have any of you had this problem and managed to get Nissan to replace? I've got Nissan cared4 but won't count my chickens. Are the seats easy to remove and repair? Or otherwise a new seat replacement? I need to get it sorted as I'm sure it's related to giving me back problems when on long journeys.

It really does make you wonder how Nissan make a profit seeing how few are listed. I too do a lot of motorway miles and it's vary rare I pass another zed. Same back in 2009 when I had my 350z. Combination of big engine and 2 seats I guess.

Could be the ditch finders never been a fan of budget tyres to be honest. But to be fair, it is dry at the moment so they shouldn't be that bad. Driving with your roof up or down?

I love the Audi S4 & RS4, shame they dont do a saloon...

For the record I had DBA9000 discs & pads on my 350z and they were rubbish, I had no end of problems with them. Brake judder, had to replace pads back to DS2500 to fix the problem, and then I had a load of uneven wear on the discs. Cost me nearly a grand back in 2007! I must have been nuts. I'll stick to the OEM in the future. I get the brake fade some times but that's when pushing it on the A5 as it has about six 1 mile straights with roundabouts, otherwise I think the OEM on the 370z are perfect for me.

What tyres? Mine is planted as hell - running Bridgestones. Checked your pressures?

That reminds me, I was supposed to show you guys my cassette mod, where the lids of the cassettes have been cut to let more air in. It's friggin awesome - the noise is epic with the HKS now.

email from HKS - Dear, Thank you for your email. The filters cannot be washed and would need to be replaced. For peak performance we recommend you replace 3-6 months or 3000 -5000km, but normally they can go longer And you can maintain with your routine vehicle service. Otherwise check the filter for dirt build up and replace if necessary. Best regards, Hmm, maybe more research me thinks....

Just emailed HKS about replacement life on these, they're recommending 3-5k so I make that every 3000miles or so, This is ridiculous as it makes them an expensive option. Anybody else running them longer?
