  1. As the title says, my driver side window when half open while driving has started to rattle. Anybody had this problem and know how to fix it? I assume I have to take the door card off and tighten some nuts or bolts somewhere? Cheers peeps.
  2. Looks like they like their Neesan's out there too!
  3. Yes indeed great tune! Even my old man likes this one and he's 63 ! Getting some great ideas for my Wedding ..........

In fact I still have the CD that I bought over there and it had Whigfield's Saturday night on it. Anyway, back on topic, this is another roof down for me:- Sorry oldies Great thread btw, keep em coming!
  6. Dave is your car never dirty I love the Azure but I do think the interlagos fire is lovely as well (and rare!)
  7. Funny! Cigar cutter - imagine pulling that thing out in a bar! And tooth pick - imagine putting that thing near your mouth
  8. Love the colour & the rims matching but always felt both evo & scoobie were let down big time by the interior as well. But I guess at them speeds you won't be bluetoothing or cd changing anyway!!!

Wow, that's cutting it fine - hope it all works out! If your still going to L&G, take the canal walk and take some bread with you
  10. Not entirely NWS, but just in case..... This is soo funny, was googling for "tramp sleeping in a car" and "tramp in car" for some pics to post on another thread for fun - and look what google images threw up! Lovely view, but I bet it hurt like a bugger.... And this one as well So maybe, could be onto something here - post your funny photos that you didn't expect from Google images....!

Did you get it sorted bud?
  12. Yeah, just might find a tramp sleeping in there when you return
  13. Thanks mate - they do look good in GM on a GM car. I decided to stay with Silver but got them done brighter, here's my other thread link: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=22598
  14. If you can afford it mate I'd recommend it. I put off the refurb route for ages thinking the finish would be crap and money down the drain...how wrong am I. Just perfect, and in fact, they look that good it's dissuaded me to buy new wheels - it just makes the car look much better now! I think what gave me trust was the fact that the garage has just refurbed a Bentley Continental GT rim and they have 2 M3's in there having wheels refurbed. Next on the list is my front bumper.....at the same garage
  15. Yup I'm definitely learning! One other thing as well....they really did look after them, you can tell that by the way the weights have been put on, and the minimal glue they used around the tyres. And a big plus to me - no scratches on the wheels around the nuts when they put the wheels back on - happy bunny.
  16. Some of you may have read that I attempted (badly) to respray a badly kerbed rim. All of my 18" rays were corroded in some shape or fashion. All of them had bubbling on them. So I decided to bite the bullet and get them refurbed. I had them done locally in the North West by a small company in Chester. Will post his details here if he wants. Basically, I took the car on Tuesday and it was ready to be picked up last night! They must have worked all day & night to get these done. The finish is fantastic, they are much brighter than before. I didn't know this, but my original wheels had all been refurbed, one had the lacquer layer missing (or washed away) as well. The centre caps were sprayed silver (The Nissan logo wasn't chrome finished), I didn't know this but the garage pointed this out, I have since googled the rays and have noticed this as well. So if your buying a car from a dealer watch out !!! The wheels were stripped of their tyres, dipped in something exotic for all existing paint to be removed, powder prime coated and then baked in an oven at 400degrees and then lacqured. And I don't know how they did it but the centre caps are like the originals, the Nissan Logo is now chrome finished! Tyres fitted and rebalanced. No kerb marks, corrosion or pitting to be seen anywhere - they look like new. Pics to show the great work:- £240 all in, which I think is a dad more expensive than some quote, I still make it £60 a wheel - but for the finish...worth every penny
  17. That bumper with the grill sprayed looks really good, think I might get that done on mine when I get round to eliminating the trillion stone chips

Couldn't agree with you more! I also agree that TDI are expensive Mike. When you go to L&G ask them for directions "the canal way" to the retail park - it is such a lovely walk.
  19. Looking good Dave, I have to admit I do like your car it's grown on me. Never been a big yellow fan but I think it looks superb on the Zed.
  20. So, I'm getting all my rays refurbed next week and have been wondering what colour would look smart. Should I stick with a silver finish (I might ask for a brighter silver if poss). Or would Gunmetal look smart, I've heard darker colours make the wheels look smaller so not sure. Any ideas welcome!

    I painted my rays

Well done At least you didn't use Halfords Stratos Silver like I did - more like f*****g undercoat compared to standard rays finish Still, getting them done professionally next week.

What about L&G in Audenshaw Mike? Their number is 0161 3015000, I had my P3 last month and I think their labour rate was £60 a hour. It's a very quiet garage but top blokes and no bull from them (and Nissan mechanics). They service scoobies as well there. There's a retail park nearby which will kill some time for you, oh and a McDonalds! Just found my other post £180 for a P3 in the end, I was there 3 hours so about £60 an hour labour I make it, here's the link - viewtopic.php?f=64&t=20486 I'm in two minds about DT, I've been there and had my alignment done. They fitted my discs, pads & brake lines in 2007 all fine no problems. But would I trust them to fit a clutch? Honestly, I don't think they would be my first choice. They quoted me £80 to fit my spacers last month which I did myself. So I would be wary of their £180 !!! What about car planet in Warrington? They are a big importer of japanese cars (it's where Phil got his GTR from), when I was up there last year they were servicing evo's and I think they know their stuff. If it was me I reckon L&G would be good as long as the price is OK. You could always PM DJTIMO he's in Ellesmere Port, I'm sure he would recommend somebody local as well as he's had loads done on his zed. Will be interested to hear how you get on bud, I reckon mine is due soon.... Good luck!
