  1. Welcome Al. What year 350 are you thinking about, each have their own little quirks. Hehe, you don't often hear economy and 350 mentioned in the same sentence. They're generally a lot of fun to drive, focus on that. In all seriousness, they're not too uneconomical for a reasonable sized V6. It all depends what your driving style is like.
  2. Welcome Chris. Good luck on the quest for Zed ownership again, second time around.
  3. What are you guys worried about? You're English, you like warm beer. Right now, back to the thread.
  4. Yes I do. RWD 6 sp coupes are the only way for me. It's the only way to go isn't it.
  5. Noah is running an LS2. That project hasn't been finished for very long, only a few months. He's an active member on my350z. Have a noisey around the FI threads there etc.
  6. Welcome. I'd recommend trying something like Rainex or Prestone (if you have those brands in the UK) rain dispursants. That will help the worst of it slide off. If you're talking about the inside of the glass on the hatch, try the Meguiar's NXT Glass Cleaner, gets the mucky film off, and keeps it nice for a fair good while.
  7. Welcome. You obviously have a thing for sports coupes.
  8. What I've done when I've needed to collect or drop off from the airport, is I take a blanket or large thick beach towel, and put the suitcase inside that and then lower the suitcase in the back behind the strut bar, then you don't risk scratching anything. Usually the smaller stuff carefully placed in the middle between the strut brace and the sound system area.
  9. Welcome. They are quite different sorts of cars you are comparing. If the salesman was a smart chap/ette he'd/she'd have encouraged you to take the Zed for a drive for a longer period. The first 2 Zeds I drove, I drove for about an our each, decent period of time to get a feel for a car. I've now driven 17 x 350's, not including my own.
  10. Welcome Jordan, You've actually answered your own question. To get a good bearing as to whether the heavy steering question is normal for a 350, I'd be taking a few for a test drive if I were you. As the others have pointed out they're not overly light on the steering. Happy test driving, and this is one of the reasons I personally always recommend to people to take a few out for test drive. Enjoy.
  11. Welcome and congratZ on the ZR. She's a gorgeous colour.
  12. Quite an interesting project too.
  13. Welcome Steve, and what a cool early Christmas present you purchased yourself.
  14. Goodness, is she fit to be driving. 4th time is a bit much. Oh really.
  15. Must be the forced induction part of the mag then.

    R35 or R34

I respect the power and handling etc of the R34, but always found it to be a bit square looking. I prefer the R35 for it's smoother lines, but then the back of that is pretty square too.
  17. I still haven't stopped drooling!! The R8 is gorgeous clean or dirty. But he's made an awesome job of it!!!
  18. What and frighten away any new female Zed owners. Umm, but can we have a girls version. Then it would be the perfect man.
  19. Ultimately though, if you're paying say an extra $2.50 for hear say, just imagine what the people who cart products all around the country are paying, thusly they pass on the cost, thusly the price of everything goes up including food and every item you consume or purchase. So it's not a simple matter of $2.50 each fill at all. My brother used to own a freight business. Imagine filling up just one truck only costing about $300-400 for that one fill 2 or 3 times a week. In New Zealand we're going through extactly the same thing. Huge sigh.............
  20. And Seasonal Greetings to you rmmackfc & Trev. Alcoholic Poms, I don't know. Waiheke is a stunning small island (similar size to the IOW) out in the harbour, you should definitely go. It's touted and deservedly so as a great event, even if you're not into wine. You'd score big points with the little lady. And I'm sure we could manage a Zed meet or two if you head over. Eek, he's probably training some of the very big Tongan and Samoan guys. Some of them tip the scales well over 100kgs +++.
  21. Stunning 350 & even better to see it on a mag cover!!! Well done!!!
  22. Just a little disturbed. And to you to Nixy. Funny how these boys get side tracked so quickly, one might say a short attention span. Not looking at anyone in particular Zedrush. Find out which city your mate is in.
  23. Indeed. Served by a nice young lady Im there Didn't your Mum's ever teach you not to accept bickies from strange young ladies.
  24. Zedrush, what no part for Little Miss, Nixy, Tere & myself? I can just picture it now, Zedrush is the next Quentin Tarantino, the moody plot, the movie, Sarnie as the rouge Lambo santa slay in a Santa suit. Who's going to play Mrs Clause, and the elves?! Can we ask for your signature now???!!! Oh the fame, the fortune, the adulation. Zedrush, no more Smarties and sherbert for you now, Aussie's and the ones that can't tie their shoes laces, Kiwi's are the ones the used to win the big boat yachting. Lol, it's an overcast day, hazy day here, and it's still 22 degrees. Aaah, bring on full Summer!!! Track Day in almost 40 degree heat, about 90 something percent humidity in a few months. MBS & Mike, I'm in Auckland. MBS, now perhaps we could do a Z exchange, I'll come over the UK in the Kiwi Winter, your Summer. Fair I think. Why what a stunning photo! Rocky Horror Picture Show try-outs anyone? And to you. Hmm, Zedrush has been into the colourful Smarties again or is it still the thought of stealing a ride in the new blue Porsche. Now all joking aside, if any of you make it over to New Zealand, especially to Auckland, let me know you're heading over & we'll organise an event. We have one of the guys from Zclub.net heading over for our annual major Taupo Track Day in February. Will be a blast.
  25. 2nd photo as the first pick or 3 or 5th photo. Gorgeous photos. I love the contrast of the sea, the pebbles/stones against the silver. PS, don't leave your Zed sitting around too long I'll send my spies over to the UK to get those rims. They've almost got a velvety quality. Yummy.
