  1. Welcome to the community. Good luck, post up picys when you've the Zed.
  2. I clean the Zed every week with fail, more often than not twice a week, last week was 3 times. A normal clean takes 1 & half hours, and a full wax/groom etc, is about 4-5 hours. Then you have a show groom, which will take about 2 weekends. Grooming engine bay with soft tiny paint brushes, interior grooming, the works really. Well I think I quality for Zed Obsessive Complusive Cleaning Disorder, I may have written the book.
  3. There certainly were brooding skies. Looking .
  4. You are correct. Sad sight though. Hunt them damageees down.
  5. Thanks for the advice Mike. It was a new car in January so I don't think it's the battery. It sometimes won't happen for weeks and then can happen a few times in 1 week. Various members on forums have had modules replaced which seemed to have helped which leads me to believe it's a common fault on the MY07 cars. I just need to find someone who has had theirs fixed and find out what was done. What about putting in an aftermarket alarm system (or don't you guys do that much in the UK)? They normally go through the whole system as they work to make sure everything is okay. Kind of expensive, but peace of mind.
  6. And then everyone turned "green" with envy!! Well done Paul!! Always so great to see another 350 in a mag!!
  7. Oh for sure. NZ government finally put that law into a place a few years back!! Absolutely awesome for we non-smokers!!! Used to hate getting home after a night out clubbing, stinking of disgusting smoker smell, really took the shine of a good night out. I won't allow smokers in my car, if forced, they must sit on a seat cover so they don't soil the leather with gross smoker smell.
  8. Welcome Andy. What year is your 350? Handbrake isn't a major. I had mine back a few times to Nissan when it was new to tighten it up, fine these days.
  9. Great to see you're doing your bit to deplete British petroleum supplies.
  10. Welcome to the forum. If you're looking at pre-loved 350's or any car for that matter, it always pays to lift up the carpet where you can to inspect for gremlins. Good luck with your quest for 350 ownership. Don't forget to have a look at the ones for sale on this forum.
  11. Some mighty fine parking in that clip. Most skilled.
  12. Perhaps you could leave your other car somewhere for a couple of days, and have a go at the concrete yourself. It looks like it just needs to be smoothed out and flattened if that makes sense. Had the same issue a couple of years back when the developers re-did my road, nothing a bit of ingenuity can't do.
  13. Looking Dcash. Be a bit careful with the paint, 350z paint is notoriously thin. You'll probably find after a few coats of wax that should hide most of it.
  14. I'm finding the 4000's good. Are you still running on the stock calipers? Great you've found John, he knows his stuff. Oh, quoting on a post, click on the little "quote" icon on the right handside of the particular post you're wishing to quote on. Does that make sense?
  15. Welcome Bobsta. Lots of useful info around here. Enjoy.
  16. Gorgeous picys Stew!!! Certainly is. Intact with mobile chicane's......... sheep.
  17. Chris, seriously give the Turbo Wax kit a try, it really works so well. It sure will get rid on hazzing. The hazzing, that we're referring to is on the outside of the headlight lenses and it looks kind of patchy. Most other plastic type products I've tried from most other popular brands, just unfortunately don't seem to last more than a week. Sorry marzman, back on topic now.

Looking good Jay. Nothing wrong with having something that you perceive others might not like, makes yours a bit more unique.
  19. Cough, cough, Sarnie ............. you're a post-a-holic!! Well done.
  20. You little petrol head Trev. Looks nice and shiny for the start of the season. Go get 'em.
  21. It certainly gives the Continental a more edgy look!!
  22. Yes, seems to be the same as the UK spec in terms of plate recess, my Z (2004) is the same. We don't for some reason have headlight washers down here, but then we don't see snow only in a few regions in the deep of Winter. Not sure about the 07/08, must check out on one of the newbies 07's. I think you might be right. The 2005 spec NZ is a bit higher than our original models though. The '06 had the heated wing mirrors that ours don't. That's the only thing I wouldn't mind in Winter, but then it adds to problems and extra unnecessary weight. Hey ZTrack, how do you find the Ferodo DS2500 front pads and Mintex rears setup? I think just about each one the 350's here with after market brake gear, is running different brands each. Differing results. Almost forgot to say, really like the 35th Anniversary model wheels, gives it a more smooth looking finish than our older more angular rims. Hmm, or the Rays they are nice too.
