  2. Sleek little beasts the Lotus. Looking very
  3. Zed looks fab Martin!! Ditto, but NZ. Have fun you lot, take lots of photos for us.
  4. I'm in Auckland, the biggest city. About 6 hours drive north of where you're mate is from. Yip, he's right! We have just about every make and model of Jap car, especially sports cars, NZ gets them. I guess NZ is kind of a Jap dumping ground, but works out pretty well for a lot of people. A friend of mine is the Managing Editor for Nissan Sports Mag, he was absolutely blown away when he came over to NZ for a few meets last year, I tee'd up over 70 Nissan cars at the Auckland meet at very short notice. Poor Dave didn't know what to take photos of first, so many cars he'd never seen, even in his travel for the mag, and they certainly don't get in the US. We're a bit car crazy in NZ, just over 4 million people and there are over 267 different car clubs. Go figure. And still a good number of car nuts around the Taranaki area. We'd love to see some of our Zed cousins head on down to "the land of the dumb flightless bird".
  5. Great that it worked out so well. I love that phrase from Transformers, "owners don't chose their cars, cars choose their owners". Have to wonder sometimes if it's true.
  6. You're only jealous coz yours isn't that big.
  7. Lol, surprised he's still walking at all.
  8. Eeew, had to look up on Google to find out who that is, but eeeeew. Nigel get your coat man.
  9. Welcome Johnny, what colour is your Zed?
  10. It's not an option at the minute as the car is under warranty and the Nissan alarm should work. Quite interesting how countries and following insurance companies vary. My 350 was the first 350 my insurance company had insured. I was going to install an aftermarket alarm anyway, but my insurance company would not insure my car with the stock factory alarm system, only one immobiliser. Great to hear you might get a resolve, as there's been a recall. Good luck.
  11. It will be interesting to see what you find Phil. Having been through this with my 2004, had the axle regrease, then about a year later paid out for a whole new axle assembly even though this had all been been logged with Nissan, long disappointing story. The technical term is "unusual axial looseness", you'll find this on the 350z-tech.com, there is a technical document associated with this. If it's the same as my Zed had, the supposidly fixed end of the axle, the spline pops in and out, creates rather unsafe handling characteristics. Hope it's not that for your customers sake, axle assemblies are not cheap, even at trade price I paid mine axle assembly. (I can't find the docm on 350z-tech at mo, but still have the doc in hard copy if you need it). Hehe, I think you mean "axle assembly" (it is part of the drive train though), driveshaft is the one that goes from front to back. (sorry wasn't nit picking, just good to have correct terms)
  12. Welcome Lurker. Seems you're already aquainted with BigPhil. Nice mods there.
  13. Welcome to the nuthouse Dan. Lots to learn, as you've already found. Hehe, Zed straight jackets should be supplied upon joining the forum, or buying a Zed, not sure which, probably both.
  14. The before photo rocks. Imagine how water would bead or go real white on all that excess wax. Hehe, love the after shots more though.
  15. Now that's the way it should be.
  16. That's a pretty brazen cheek really. If it were me I wouldn't be happy. What if he'd had an accident. Oh sorry. I'm with Rob and Stuey on this one.
  17. Hehe, we have one of those in NZ, the Heat Treatments 350z. http://zclub.org.nz/viewtopic.php?t=473&test=test http://www.htlracing.co.nz/ http://www.htlracing.co.nz/350z.html
  18. Lol, obviously dumb flightless birds don't get.
  19. I'd say the later. For instance if you have new tyres put on a some shops they'll use disgusting silicone type formula, other just use total rubbish, which of course will shift and not stay put. Ditto Gixx. I've been using the Turbo Wax Tire (tyre) Gel, for about 14-15 months now. Love the stuff to pieces. It's kept my tyres lovely and with definite deep dark sheen, without spinning off, no damage to the tyres and it doesn't creep, it lasts really well, even in super harsh Kiwi conditions, so the UK would be even better. You don't need much product, a little goes a long way, and the shine/sheen can be built up if you use a couple of coats/applications, which is fab for shows, ie if you need a gentle/natural sheen, or you want a more wet look depending what sort of show you're displaying at. Given my Zed is a Sunset, it would be very obvious if I'd had any spin off, eeks like some other products I've used. http://www.turbowax.com/prod/turbo-wax- ... 16-oz.html http://www.turbowax.com/cat/tire-wheels/
