  1. Similar this end of the world too. It's tipping at NZ$2.08 per litre of 91 octane, 98 is generally another 12 cents a litre. The tax component is 50% of the price, there are taxes on taxes as well. Sigh Even petrol stations are hurting because people are just not driving when they don't have too, so they don't go to the petrol station, so all those added bits they sell are just sitting on the shelves. Even so, absolutely everything you buy is freighted, so people like truckies, and trains, really could bring everything to a complete standstill if they so choose. Price of absolutely everything is starting to skyrocket. I used to be involved in the business. I have another friend who has 7 very large B-Train trucks, each truck goes through 8k of gas per month. One of my other mates is an Ops manager for an extremely large freight business, staggering amounts of diesel used per month. Imagine say for instance the largest freight firms in every country in the world what there usage would be, probably millions of litres a year.
  2. Nope, but I sell, can you tell?! Yummmy!!! And it sure is!!!
  3. We have a couple of the guys in our club in NZ that run large panel & paint shops & got a couple of mates with shops too, so I've had a fairly substantial exposure to see the results of accidents & peoples stupidity. Anyway, one of the guys had a tech night on Saturday, he showed us heaps of crash testing data, video's etc, etc, lets just say most people were absolutely floored. It wasn't only Asian constructed vehicles either. Differing results from year to year of models as well. Bright idea when buying a vehicle check out the crash test data. And eeks, at all of those links boys.
  4. Welcome to the forum. Quite interesting to see things is a slightly different place, although it's a very similar car, well the motor anyway.
  5. Welcome to the forum Buzz. Any photos of the Zed?
  6. I was very impressed to hear on the news today, that 280 truckies in London had a sit in protest of the horrendous price of diesel!! Good on them, more people should stand up and be counted and put pressure on those that don't or choose not to listen to mere citizens.
  7. Irrespective of the price of petrol, not selling my Zed. But I will say I'm kind of glad I'm not going through 2-3 tanks of petrol a week.
  8. RNG LDR, is really cool. Having a play on words and names, numbers also other languages can be really cool too. If you want something that makes people think, that's a bit more abstract.
  9. Lol, you leave a courgette here a few days too long, becomes a marrow. Here's an interesting fact for you, that you probably already know, Kiwi (fruit) are originally Chinese, and where known as Chinese gooseberries. They sure grow like weeds. We've got a few passion fruit vines, grapes although Auckland is rather warm for grapes. Yip we've had marigolds in with them, but better grown south of here, where it's cooler. Chinese cabbage usually grows well here too. Such a large Asian populous here now, we get all sorts of things. The old allotments are such a cool idea. I can many times as a youngster going down when visiting the UK, heading down to the relatives allotments. Guy time out space, they should be called.
  10. No dancing on the table tops at the next meet for you then. At least you'll be able to entertain with jokes. Feeding him more cake will sort him out in more ways than one. [angel halo back on now]
  11. Welcome Martin. Quite a few of you now, we ought to give you Martin's nicknames. More like a widow to your former bank balance now you're a Zed owner.
  12. Welcome Helen. If your Zed is brand new it's up to the dealer to sort it out for you, that's why you buy a new car for the warranty etc. Let us know how you get on.
  13. Speed cameras everywhere now, Bronzee Rats, that's a pity. Jasper are you thinking of using this car as a drag car???
  14. Hmm, lots of mods there. What sort of bhp is the Zed pushing? Did you find out? Did the Vantage go like the clappers?
  15. Looking good from what I can see. Can you take some picys outside?
  16. Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Martin, happy birthday to you!! Hehe, was I more on key than Zummentor?! Have a good one!!! (later that night)
  17. Yes the bricks I spent hours laying them in an artistic pattern - was hoping some mug erm I mean patron of the Tate Gallery may want to give me £5000 for them as an art exibit! Lol, or even the L'ourve in years to come, or the George Pompedo Centre as it's modern.
  18. You think you spend too much time on this forum, I know I do, so what does that make Sarnie, Zedrush etc, etc.
  19. Yes, grow Tomatoes (number of different varieties), beans (different varieties), broccoli, bok choy (asian cabbage thing), courgettes, sweetcorn, lettuce (different varieties), Strawb's, guava's, lemons & limes, most pip & stone fruit, + some tropical exotics, including pomegrante, blackberries, blueberries, rhubarb, plus other stuff I can't think of right now. Where I am doesn't seem to be so good for carrots (too warm), tried swede seemed okay. Lol, we don't have small sections in my area. ps. Stanski, loving the cat avatar, very cool.
