Lol, come on now, that sounds dangerously like a sensible question.

Welcome to the forum!! Good luck, and definitely go and hit the dealer up as the others have suggested. By the way, what's the deal over there now with false advertising?? Maybe you can use that to push the matter. By the way, you didn't tell us what colour it is.

service is every 9000 miles or 12 months, which ever comes first. This is something I find very interesting. I'm not sure if it's varying laws, or climatic conditions or what. But in the US seems similar to the UK, where as in Australia and NZ our servicing schedule is every 10k kilometres, so what's that every 5k miles approximately.

Hideous weather in NZ, not so lovely today, lol!!

Yikes!! Lol, I'm hoping no dramatic photos! The attached link is probably the worst Cyclone that's hit NZ thus far, Cyclone Bola in 1988. Massive damage everywhere. http://christchurchcitylibraries.com/Ki ... neBola.asp -
I know, same with the last Bond movie. Sad to destroy beautiful cars, but then you have to wonder if at least some of it is TGI, or models or something of the like. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it! The previews look brilliant. From what I've seen Ledger stole the show.

Oh, Uncle Mart tell us stories!!! This sounds interesting!!! They've just announced that the wind is now up to hurricane force, so 160-167kms and above!! 1000 homes north of here without power, flooded homes, not cool. -
Wow, that impressive!! You'd think he was a chimpanzee the way he launches himself at the next little crevice. Live by the sword, but at least you'd be enjoying yourself.

Lol, inside warm dry house is best place to be. Ventured very quickly to the shops, crazy busy, everyone else had the same idea, even though the roads are flooding, rain is super heavy. Never that busy so early. I should imagine it would be absolutely crazy at sea in this sort of weather a bit like the "Perfect Storm". We had one of those a few weeks back. I sense some tug master stories coming on. I'd even settle for UK Summer weather today. -
I quite like the look of it, it's not particularly modern looking though. I've not been a fan of any of the previous models, all too hairdresser looking for my taste. They kind of are, aren't they. But quite a practical level to have your indicators at though, in line of normal sight, instead of being down low, which is silly, an not so visable. Also makes for very expensive replacment, if one gets munched. Better offset than a stock 350, even if the photo is chopped.

Well we've had a perfectly still, sunny, cloudless day yesterday, even cleaned the Z, but that was the calm before the storm. Another massive Tropical Low Depression front made landfall here about 4am NZ time, 200km wind gusts and storm surges of 10-11 metres, that's HUGE are predicted!! Lol, I hope we don't get washed away. Already lost one 80ft+ tree this week, with the low that finished on Thursday. The power is still on, hopefully it will stay that way. Lol. The eye, eek, it's been upgraded is supposed to hit the top of the North Island of NZ about midnight NZ time (lunchtime UK time), and head down the country (I'm only a few hundred kms from top), it's already raining torrentially, wind is up around 150kms already, and still predicting 200kms winds. They're saying it's going to break all previous weather records. Not cool. For those that are interested, don't think it's 100% up to date. http://tvnz.co.nz/cda/tvnz/weather_index_skin What's with the crazy weather on this planet, and no it's not global warming?! Lol, that's absolute rubbish. What's happening over there?? Sunshine and roses today??
-
Ah, actually they probably did you a favour by now washing it. The word swirls come quickly to mind. Dealers is a bit of swearword.

Yip, my point exactly, on 2 posts above.

Greido, both of my mates this end of the world, who are running fully caged hard out full racecar 350z, are running aftermarket chips, for the very reason you are asking about. Now bearing in mind, both of these cars, are a long way from stock, running a huge amount more power too, . If you are serious or interested aftermarket can be the way to go, depends on what you are trying to achieve, there's more to it, that top speed, it's the getting there. It's also not cheap. Hehe, where's Bigphil or one of you other guys.

Nixy, each time when you wash your car my dear, check your tyres and the underneath of the car, inside the arches etc. It's a good habit to get into, and can also alleviate expensive early tyre replacements, and a multitude of expensive fixes. If you need a few tips what to look out for with your tyres etc, ask the boys at the next meet. If you don't know the tyre shop, don't trust them until you've been there a few times. Most of all, make sure your Zed has regular alignments. My Zed must be the most aligned Zed ever, but I've never had any issues with uneven wear. I can walk into the shop and be spot about which wheels toe is out etc, but then I'm super fussy about my car's handling. Good luck with the new Zed shoes.

They look awesome in the flesh. When I first saw pics of Leemiks lovely red zed, I had my doubts about them, but seeing Kevs car on various car show stands, the wheels look awesome! Not for running on a daily driver though I think Mike/Leemik's must be my favourite Redline (whatever you call them in UK) of all time. Including the interior detailing etc, and those stunning rims, just the pure attention to detail. Pity those rims don't look good with Sunset. Mind you as you point out, not too good for a track car or a daily driver. Maybe just keep for good, or shows.

Seen that vid before, cracks me up, because the G's alone would have probably induced labour. Crazy sunset.

Lol, also attracts more coppers. Famous last words. Welcome to the forum Jon.

Scoobydoo, where are you?! Welcome to the forum mate. What sort of year are you thinking about??? -
New owner paranoia and oil consumption problems...!
bronzee replied to Francis's topic in 350Z General
If you're looking at 2002-2004 I've yet to hear of an oil burner from these years. 2006 is the main year for that, if you check here: http://my350z.com/forum/engine-drivetra ... ssion.html If you're looking at a pre-loved Zed, do all the usual checks, or take the proposed Zed to a trusted mechanic for a full check over. All brands have their little niggles. If you're looking at 02-04, any kinks should have been ironed, if not you'll know as soon as you test drive. Probably obvious things to check for are clutch, gearbox, and also the windows, as motors to have a tendancy to stuff up, but that's normally early on. Or keep an eye on the for sales on this forum, as most of these cars are known to other members, so you'll have a few clues as to the history. Good luck and keep us posted. -
Very nice and in the new tone of red!! Rosso, or Nagaro depending where you are. Could be a mid-winter Santa's sley in festive red.
-
Every time I see those rims on a Azure/Daytona, whatever you call it, really shows the colour off beautifully!!! Very architecturally interesting buildings too, lol, yes I was looking at the car.
-
Haha, that's a good one. Also will probably make mince meat of you if you carve him up on the road. Dual meaning plate perhaps.

"No modding and chains". Or they've realised they'd better get hooked up before no one else will have them.

Swirly too??!!
