How old are the batteries in the remotes? Not that the seller would have probably indicated. They'll often only last a couple of years, so for a 2006, could be about that. Is it the stock remote or an aftermarket? Either way, any little led lights lighting up on the remote when you push the button? By the way welcome to the community.

I'm pretty sure that's just purely for the wing mirrors, for the newer models (especially the JDM's 05 onwards). The rear screen heat you push the far left aircon button in the middle (just in front of the gear lever).
