    Glen Fruin Road

The gorse and hills behind really set the two cars of beautifully.
  2., or spacers ! You boys crack me up. Tia it is! I'll need to ask Stew if she can be my +1 for the Hoon! Tia is a very cute name, for such a cutie. ps. Don't you mean your + 1/10th. You might need to find a Paris style Burberry bag though.
  3. Definitely a combination. Especially with demanding Kiwi roads, especially in the backblocks. Often narrow, very windy, tight, interesting road surface with out volcanic soft soil, fun, but then a bit of straight is a nice reprieve.
  4. Looks lovely Shire. Loving all the little orange bolts disbursed around the engine bay. The footwell carpets always look so lovely when they're freshly vacuumed. Did you use some carpet cleaner on them too? Lol, I cheat now. I've got a set of footwell mats that just come out for shows and special occasions, then straight back into their bag.
  5. Totally agree with Nixy. We've got a Hilux (what we call ute), they can have high mileage and they still keep going reliably, parts are easy to get (presume they would be in the UK too), you can throw lots of very heavy gear on them no problems. Great motors in my opinion. I quite like the new Hilux ute's too. But you are correct Phil they do tend to hold there value, mainly because they are very reliable workhorses. Almost forgot to mention if you go for a diesel option they are very economical. Literally smell of an oily rag.
  6. Welcome to the forum, and happy Zed hunting. Zeddy probably uses less gas than 2 Hummers strapped together.
  7. Welcome to the forum Steve. Enjoy your drive home when you pick up your Zed.
  8. That's one heck of a stone Martin to do that much damage. More like a small boulder. Hope you get it all sorted pronto in time for the big weekend.
  9. And one mod is coming all the way from NZ.
  10. Lovely bonnet reflections in pic 5.
  11. Maybe he secretly has a beard and wears socks with his sandles.
  12. Bizarrely, I might actually be in your area of the planet in Feb 2010!! Do you mean in Australia or NZ? So are you going to share pics Shire?
  13. Welcome to the forum Sarah. I reckon, how cool is that!!! Oh Sarah, the boys have dubbed we girls as "Sprinkles", in case you're wondering what Macca is rambling on about. Fantastic to have another female forum member here. Lol, we might take over soon at the rate they're joining. Joking, joking.
  14. Aaaw, I won't. Bet you haven't polished your springs! Mine's all change after Wales so not gone mental on engine bay this time. Got a week spare in Feb 2010 to come and help me prepare the Zed for Concours??!!
  15. Now I know where the expression, Tiddlypoms comes from. And on the right we have our model in the NZ ZClub tshirt.
  16. Wow, I think they need a few hundred people on that black boat, it looks empty.
  17. Ok, you lot, own up who sent that freaky weather you had over Winter down to NZ. We've had it all here today. Water spouts of the Bay of Plenty, about 230kms south of me, a twister 60kms North, horrendous rain (went looking for the ark ), freak hailstorms, roads flooding, and the hail floating on the water, major shopping centre roofs collapsing. http://tvnz.co.nz/weather-forecast http://tvnz.co.nz/view/page/536641/2727143 http://tvnz.co.nz/view/page/536641/2726755 http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/storm-b ... 755/photos (amazing pics here) The photos in the above link, that's hail, not snow, it doesn't snow in that area. I was sent some pics today of one of the major surf towns here, one of the main roads flooded to half way up a car with hail floating on it. Just had a very treacherous trip home in the car. Water deep on the motorway even on hills.
  18. Welcome to the forum Lurker. Any mods to your Zed?
  19. Welcome to the forum Dan. And I can't believe none of the others have said well once you've got the keys.
  20. Similar for the super yacht/boat builders down this end of the world. A little bit quieter, not the fairly booming industry it has been.
