  1. Maybe margins are smaller over there, although I suspect not, car sales is car sales, doesn't matter where. I've always managed extremely large discounts, not just a piffling few hundred. But having said that, as Ekona says, if you find the right car, go for it. Just don't let them know that.
  2. As a couple of my friends always say, why do you both to do this, when you can see all this on googlemaps. Because it's fantastic exercise, the air is clear and the views are stunning! That's quite low for a tarn, but then they can accumulate whereever. I can't think of any down that low here.
  3. So does this mean we'll have a slightly more peaceful day on here?! Lol, I think not young puppy. Happy birthday Dave.
  4. We have forum sponsors that are Insurers.
  5. Welcome, you're not so young in comparison to some 350 owners. Plenty over in the US that are only 16/17. Hope that makes you feel better.
  6. Welcome to the forum. You must have your Zed by now?
  7. Welcome back. Certainly has been ages. Back in style.
  8. Welcome to the forum. Old car looks good. Have you driven a 370, maybe that would sooth the absence of the Porsche?
  9. Forum went freaky and double posted.
  10. not for Rosie though - just drop her in at any local garage and I'm sure they'd get her there fine I'm sure she could find her way there. I only took a few pics as I've been there dozens of times. The really cool thing, is it's a marine reserve, so no fishing, but snorkeling and driving in the crystal clear blue water there on a lovely calm day is magic. Fish by the thousands, even if you're standing on the ends of the rocks you can see all the fish. Last time I took the Zedders there a few years ago, there was discussion of mermaids. In season, when it's busy, they have a glass bottom boat, so you can go see the fish, at a cost, if you're not into snorkeling or diving. Just one photo, so it shows how the rocks rise out of the sea. Lots of seaweed due to all the freaky storms we've been having. Mind you it is officially winter in one weeks time. The coastlines here are stunning and sandy, either white sand on the east coast (this is east coast) or black sand on the west coast, this area really is absolutely incredible on a sunny day. Auckland University, also has a satellite campus there for their marine biology department. A little bit of information: http://en.wikipedia....land_(Auckland) Lol, it is over here, was only about 18-20 degrees yesterday.
  11. Quite like the first pic. The wind turbines replicate the shape of the spokes in your wheels.
  12. Perhaps they need to go back to mechanics 101. Dear oh dear. Only takes a second either looking or listening for the spinning fans or not.
  13. End of the month, or even better end of financial year and end of month, is the best time to put the squeeze on car sales types.
  14. When we have meets over here, I always say bring the kids and family along. Your story is exactly why! Very cool! Coming along nicely.
  15. Looks interesting. Ron Howard's movies are usually pretty good, and Chris is easy on the eye.
  16. That tarn in the last shot is magic. What a great time. Lol, you guys and punctures.
  17. The meet today was a lot of fun, still have sore sides from laughing so much. We meet at small township half way between two major cities, so some of us headed up, and some headed down. Hehe, the ones that headed down decided to stay off the main highway,........ aaand cut through a back road, that turned to gravel half way!! And we've had a fair bit of rain, not so clean Zeds. Anyway, we all meet up not far from where we were going, then cruised to a place called Goat Island in Leigh. Very pretty even on a winters day, that was quite warm, I had to say. Lol, boohoo for those that bailed because of the forecast, and we ended up with no rain. We had lunch a very historic cafe, that used to be a major saw mill in the area, back in the day. The place has atmosphere galore, as there is lots of the old machinery lining the walls and floorspace, and embedded into the concrete floor, and all the old wooden beams still in place. http://www.sawmillca...nz/history.html Goat Island: There were more Zeds, but they meet us at the venue. Just after we left the venue we had a 260 randomly join our convoy for about 10kms, very cool, especially when there aren't many over here. We didn't end the day there, we headed back to a larger township on route home, and stopped in at a boutique chocolaterie, that make their own chocies. The aroma as we opened the door was heavenly, inviting flavours of chocolate and sweets enveloping your senses. Drooling yet?!

Apart from being too low to be practical and handle properly the blue R34 is gorgeous.
  20. In my opinion, this thread should be in green room area that's not searchable, so no extra weight is given to these very disturbed people.
  21. Rice, rice, baby...... how does the rest of the song go, lol, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Bet you'll take this with a grain of "rice". Lol, not salt. Happy birthday.
