  1. Imagine the budget though. It would be massive. They built a supercar here called the Hulme. Neat looking car, but the thing above I could imagine zapping around in.
  2. Welcome to the forum. Sometimes one that's had accident damage can be a mission, but having said that there was a guy on my350 recently that sorted his out. Looked great, but then he had the skills and the contacts.
  3. Welcome to the forum Kenny. Nice match to have the two of you that like the Zeddy.
  4. Sounds a lucky escape. Could have been worse, if you'd ended up in the paddock looking for spuds. Please take care Alex. That could also be down to tyres. It makes a huge difference.
  5. I think one of the rental/lease companies does. I'm sure I've seen pre-loved 350's in their listings occasionally. 370z might be a tad new yet. I'm sure between all the cars we could arrange a co-pilot ride. Maybe a ride in one of the ballistic old school Z racecars? You'd certainly get a feel for noise, you hear every mechanic part moving in the old school ones. You'd love it.
  6. Only one thing, surely the 370z is the 6th Generation of the Zed, if you don't count the 1966 Roadster. 240z, 260z, 280z/zx, 300zx (Z31), 300zx (Z32), 350z, 370z = 6 (or do I need to go back to school).
  7. So will the Zeddy be modded and married up too?? Cool looking Silycar by the way.
  8. I'm presuming the UK Top Gear mag has a pic of the Zenvo on it too. Gave me something interesting to look at whilst standing in the queue at the post office. I wonder how many stops you'd need at petrol stations running all that power with only a 69 litre fuel tank?? http://www.zenvoautomotive.com/
  9. Welcome to the forum Alex and congratulations on the Sunset beasty.
  10. Well done Shire. You're past help. Hehe, I'll get my coat.
  11. Yes very over-exposed. Must have a play with the camera. Lol, mind I could do with a new one. It's only a little Panasonic Lumix. So nothing flash. I've actually been looking at new ones, so not to worry. The glare here even for the guys with very flash cameras takes a bit of mucking with. Think of the brightest day in the UK, and it will still be 5 times higher here. Massive hole in the Ozone, and almost no smog (especially in Summer) and none in outlying areas. One of my mates is going to have a look at the camera, but I keep forgetting to ask when I see him. Anyway, so when are you all going to come over here for a visit to my beautiful country & join us for an event or track day?? Just bring lots of sun tan lotion.
  12. For what it's worth, on other forums I moderate on. The way we work it, is similar to here, if we feel that someone is dedicated enough to the cause and the "team" feels that someone would make a valuable & worthy addition to the team we will ask them. It seems to work well, and from the aspect of harmony within the team also. Anyway keep on keeping on guys, you do a good job on a fairly busy forum.
  13. ps. Those aren't stone chips on my Zeds nose, that's hundreds of splatted bugs and cabbage white butterflies.
  14. Thanks guys and girl. Was a baking hot weekend. Far too hot to be in race gear and race booties in that heat. The roads we'd just been along before we got to the dam, were awesome!!!! Narrow, windy, and very little traffic, apart from the odd large truck on our side of the road. Mart you and Liz will have to come over in the Summer, Feb is usually good, as we have heaps of events, lots of opportunity for she with the camera skills. Thanks Captain. That's much better. Having a few issues with the camera.
  15. Once a year we pay our annual pilgrimage to the Taupo Race Track. It's about half way down the North Island of NZ (for those of you that have been to NZ). It's a party/holiday resort town, so makes for a very social weekend, apart from the good stuff zipping around the track. The Taupo track hosts the A1, so it is an international track. Pretty cool, and quite technical depending on what part of the track you have, or if the whole track, becomes reasonably high speed. 200-250kms for the very fast cars with massive ceramic brakes. The fastest track in NZ is actually in my home town and that can be about 300kms down the back straight of the mega beasts and the OSCA's. Always plenty of full blown race cars, as our club has a very strong racing history going back 30 years. The most powerful one racing this time was a fully blown, caged, very powerful beastly 300zx TT. Running about 700hp at the shoes, de-tuned, Hollinger box. Very fast and sounds an absolute dream as he's working it through the gears. Was clocking the circuit in 42 sec bracket odd seconds. The next nearest, was another fully blown race car 260z - was doing slightly higher 42 secs (even thought his 260z is pushing half the power). He drives very well. A few stop gap pics (until the others with good cameras post - will flick up a link then), only stationary ones as I was very busy doing timing during the day. No, no racing for me this time, had a few other things wanted done to the car before tracking. Didn't quite come to fruition. At the track after a day of racing. A few cars loaded up ready to go home. Nice bit of road that we'd just come along on the way home. Eyesor, Zilver & the bronzed one at a dam on the way home from Taupo. And because this is a 350 forum the ubiquitous 350z pose. The old and the newer. How often do you get two orange Zeds together from 3-4 decades apart.
  16. Welcome to the forum. Nice impulse buy. That's all part of the fun. At least the petrol isn't at the phenomenal price it was a year or so back.
  17. Welcome to the forum. No pics yet? Haha.
  18. Welcome to the forum. Nicely executed Zed you've got there.
  19. Welcome to the forum. The countdown is on then. Enjoy the drive home.
  20. Welcome to the forum Mark. Pop some new shoes on your Z, that should help a bit in the rain. Not all shoes are created equal.
  21. Welcome to the forum Imp. Good luck getting the paint rectified after being dealerified (new English word don't you know). He means a female member Imp, in case you need a translation of 350z ish.
  22. Just when you thought it was safe.......................
  23. Welcome to the forum. Keep an eye out here in the For Sales.
  24. Well done bringing the car back to the club. Quite likely he'll want visitation rights too.
