    Another NZ meet

(These pics might not be too snail internet speed friendly). A few photos from Sunday. Please excuse the camera skills. No Japanese tourist present this event to take decent pics. This event we did a trial/rally for part of it to the house you see in first few photos. Pit stopped there until everyone arrived, then we convoyed to Kaiaua Fish & Chip shop (or fosh & chops for those of you that know the Kiwi accent) for sustenance, which is about 100kms south of Auckland city over roads that would rival anything in Wales or Scotland, but the surface is probably more challenging, much tighter and quite steep and lots of roadkill to dodge. The weather was pretty fantastic considering it's Autumn here. It rained for about 20 minutes first thing, then glorious the rest of the day, & about 20 degrees. At the historic Clevedon house we pit stopped at for the end of the trial, before continuing on for the run to Kaiaua. At the Kaiaua Fish & Chip shop. (ps was saved the correct way around, photobucket had other ideas). Too many cars in carpark for any decent photos of the other Zeds & shadows from a big fence. The Zeds posing after lunch looking across the Firth of Thames to Coromandel. Sorry no pics of the other stop at Pokeno that is legendary for ice cream. The place was much too busy for any decent Zed photos there.
  12. Lol, we need to edimucate you newbies better, we'd love more details about your 350. Happy Zedding. Except when you're on a long trip through farming country. But no where near as bad as Custard or white.
  13. Welcome to the forum. Lol, you know a petrol station is a natural habitat that David Attenborough talked about.
  14. So how does the next frame of that pic go?? That swan doesn't look happy.
  15. Wow, that must have been a massive meet if the number of 350's & all the other older Zeds are anything to go by! How many cars would have been there in totalish, for the whole show, not just our mob? Who owns the black and the white widebody 350's? Don't think I've seen either of those before, unless I've missed a thread along the way.
  16. You're all mad what are you doing posting at such an hour? Happy birthday James. Did you buy or were given any bits for the Zed for your birthday?
  17. Awesome! So what colour is said roadster??
  18. Great news. Would have been a pity to let your Z baby go. Lost meets to make up for?
  19. You've not seen my bumper and bonnet, they are in a shocking state no thanks to the counsil. Aaww, oops tender point. I was joking, about the lovely reflections with all of the stones mirrored on the door.
  20. Back lights look like rounded off 350 lights. Snow plow anyone?!
  21. Colin you should be ash-amed making us laugh like that.
  22. Having driven 18 350's, both manual and tiptronic, the tiptronic is responsive. You probably feel the juice going to the drive train more in the tippy as you put the boot in. Only time a tiptronic is a bit of a nuisance is sometimes on the track, if the car doesn't agree with your choice of gear will change to what it thinks. Given this is usually in lower gears. Not driven a 2007 or newer tiptronic on the track so can't comment on that, but got the same feedback from a couple of the tiptronic guys at the last few track days. Incidentally those tiptronics are both soft tops. Slightly more body flexing on the track with the soft top, if they're not like Zmanalex's monster. ps. Great username.
  23. Lol, trade them in for a younger model. Get your minds out of the gutter, I meant a young Zed.
