  1. Welcome to the forum. Nice looking Azure you've found there.
  2. What about asking the neighbour to plant a cat nip plant to take the cats attention away from loafing on the car.
  3. I am more inclined to do the wing removal so it's all back to perfect though...... That is if it is possible! Totally understand what you mean. Although if it's one that has to be cut off to be replaced, might not be the same again, depending how good the shop is. Guess that would also put a weakness in the structure of the shell. Maybe it would mess with the crumple zones? Must be a someone on here who's a panel expert.
  4. So have you driven that Zed much in the last few years or so, to rectify it sitting for the first year of it's life? ! Welcome to the forum.
  5. Welcome to the forum. You've got lost time to make up for. 5 months of modding that is.

    Yesterdays Drive

Kinlochewe Road looks like lots of fun!!! Great photos.
  7. Love it, still looks a bit stealth, and belies what's hidden under the bonnet.

    Fuming !!!!

I'd be upset too if someone used the car and it came back damaged. But as one of the others pointed out, maybe someone else did the damage whilst she was parked?
  9. Great tracks, with all the banking Andrew. What a playground. [this is a bike in disguise ]
  10. Ok, here it goes, this is a direct quote from one of my friends over here in Kiwiland (so pardon grammar etc, as I didn't have time to correct it much), he has both a 350z and an Evo8 and does his own mechanical work. So if you are a present or past owner, don't shoot the messenger, just trying to be helpful. "Evo uses more gas than the z. My z was really efficient when it was stock easy 10km/l average and 13km/l+ long distance trip probably because of the gear ratio 6th gear is much taller in the z. 350z is a far better car then Evo. Evo is just fast tin can ride. It's just a typical 90's jap car. The chassis is so old, needs a lot of braces to support the chassis, just like silvias etc, but evo are much faster than 350z there's no doubt. But not necessarily a better car just like comparing civic type r to accord euro for example civic type r is much faster car, but a tin can. Build quality is just horrible. Evo's retail 65k (NZ$) or something i think its cheap for its performance but its build quality is just like those under 40k jap cars, so plasticky empty behind the panels. Put it this way.. 350z and etc are 21st century chassis, evo's except for the evo x, they're all 90's chassis. Evo 4 through to 9 got same chassis just different shell on top that goes back to early 90's. Evo x probably got much better chassis. " A few of my other friends had the opportunity to go for a drive with him, following in 350's, the "tin can", was very quick, and that's their words. Hope that helps. He's been quite objective, but he calls a spade a spade.
  11. If one purchased a car on one thing alone, they probably wouldn't retain the car alone. A car is somewhat a package.
  12. Nice one Mitch, was obviously meant to be that you'd keep the GM.
  13. Might also depend how accurate the balance on each of those wheels is. If it's not right it might drive you nuts, or some might not notice at all. Also, plus + on the torque on the lugs. Did you also check to make sure that all 5 lugs have been put back on each wheel? Stranger things have happened. If either alignment or lugs not torqued correctly, even marginally off, drives me nuts.
  14. He went to one of the regional meets, I think. Keep up with the play boys. Lovely looking car. Neat rims, sorry not a fan of the stretched tyres though, for safety reasons.
  15. Welcome to the forum. Good luck with the insurance pricing, and finding a Zed, all being well.
  16. Welcome to the forum Si. Think you'll find us, much as you do your Honda. Mild mannered that is.
  17. Paul, I've just text one of our guys over here, that might be looking for a kit. Will let you know if he's interested.

    Zed's gone :-(

You never know, maybe when the Z35 or Z36 comes out, family might be at a time where you can have a fun car again. Good luck with the estate.
  19. I must say, it must be a super strong mouse ("Super Mighty Mouse" even ) and talented mouse, to be able to rub the wiring loom against the engine cover enough to cause chafing. Now perhaps if there were little teeth marks, that might be viable. 10 out of 10 to the mechanic for his creatively to think of that. Would love to see a pic of the damage "Super Mighty Mouse" was said to have caused.
  20. Nice first post there Richi, welcoming another K1.
  21. Well done good result. Now you can have it rectified. Excellent idea! Saw brand spanking new 370 roadster about 3 months ago, that had only arrived the day before at the dealer. Only about 8kms on the clock, so hadn't even really been driven. Anyway, looks like it had been freshly attacked with a ball of steelo. Not good. Didn't do anything for the car at all.
  22. Nice smooth run there, only watched to 3 minutes. It's a nice smooth track too. Whatever that white flea that zipped past you at 1.45, was motoring.
  23. Agreed. The neither stock exhausts are hugely noisy, even with the boot in. Having sat at start finish straight many times doing the timing, I'd say you'd be fine. If you change to an aftermarket exhaust at some stage, you have have to take that into consideration at the time.
  24. When you get your replacement plates, maybe you could place a nice bolt on the back. Ok, it means taking the bumpers off to do so, but at least they wouldn't be able to remove the plates again. As long as don't take it out on the car.
