  1. Gee, not another one defecting. They go pretty well. I admit when I was looking at the 350 all those years ago, I did look at a few HSV's, a GTO and a Monaro. Didn't buy one though.
  2. Actually to be honest. I don't think that one registered on my radar, picked which one you mean though. When you go along to these rallies, year after year, there are some amazing cars. Things get trotted out, that you just don't see. So tend to hone in on those. Exactly what I thought! Some very nice motors there Doesn't it just. Doesn't feel immense to drive though. Was a bit of laugh on the fun run, as we had quite a few of the older cars in front of us, so I had to stay well back. Bit of a pity. But the little Ferrari Dino wasn't that quick nor where the very old MG and the old model Jag in front of it. Lovely to look at though.
  3. As part of the Concours d' Elegance show, they have a Fun Run the day before the show on the Saturday. There's usually about 200 cars, sometimes more. All sorts of cars. Our carriage for the day, wasn't quite as rare as some of the cars, but lots of fun, none the less.
  4. Welcome to the forum. Enjoy that sunset and just wait until you get her in the sunshine, the colour really comes to life.
  5. He likes the attention Irfan.
  6. Looks great. Colour suits the sunset well.
  7. Good on your for being responsible and not taking the bait.
  8. How refreshing it must be to live in a country where the general public aren't anti-car We have the same issues here with boy racers, otherwise known as very young teens, with mummies and daddies who don't give a damn what their beloved are doing. Otherwise it's a great place to be. Cars are a necessity here to get around, as even in Auckland the city spans over 100kms, and public transport isn't the best. And cities, are quite far apart. So can't be anti-car. Ah, so now I know for next time I drive one. Thanks Chris. The 370z that I test drove. Behemoth in comparison to the other cars.
  9. Ok, sorry for the delay of pics, it's very busy, two weekends in a row shows. Major ones. Track Day this weekend. Anyway, pics, Galaxy of Cars (Sunday 6th February 2011), my gingernut baby, Best in Show, Best Engine, Best Panel & Paint, & Best 350z. Concours d' Elegance & also our club's 30th Anniversary. Check out the super shiny, detailed Z's. Scary to think of the hours and the product used to get these cars looking like this. Bit of American muscle thrown in too.
  10. Well done! Keep us posted how you get on Queensland.
  11. Are we there yet?? Has pumpkin had it's transformation?
  12. Just thinking another thing I noticed. We were still in the car, turned the car off, then had no radio. Didn't have the owners manual in the car, so didn't want to muck about with the buttons incase we upset the settings. So presuming this is correct, 350 has radio when engine off, 370 doesn't?
  13. The roadster that's been SC'd here is a tiptronic. They've only given the roadster as a tiptronic option. Quite a number of FI'd 350 tiptronic's in the US, running some reasonable power. Wonder what the box is like in comparison to the 370 in terms of longetivity and strength with FI added into the mix.

    What a waste

Shame that. Some people. Does look a bit of a rust bucket though.
  15. I'd be fairly confident if the 370 was rolling on Yokohama Advan Sport V103 (as the brochure indicates in NZ), that it would be much quieter. Having had both RE040 and I have V103's on now, the V103 is a quiet tyre in comparison to the RE040 (not much different between RE040 & RE050 in my opinion). V103 still has the very rigid sidewalls (like the RE050), so has fantastic lateral stability. I think for me the big hefty strut where it is in the 350, with a vertical torneau if needed, but with bigger bags, it's completely locked in there, it can't slide forward if for some reason you have to do a hard stop. Safety. Horizontal torneau's aren't big enough to accommodate say an overnight bag, + gear. We've had bad traffic here for donkey's years. Now the population is at over 4mill, with 1.7 in Auckland, rush hour, is called rush hours, both ends of the day. Just like any big city, that has a basic & underutilised public transport system. Even so it's a stunning, laid back place to live. We have more cars percapita than anywhere in the world. All in all, I think the 370 is a great drive, extremely similar to the 350, but with more juice & some tweeks. Easy to drive, involving, better chassis and suspension out of the box. And if what the Nissan guys were telling me today, with a Stillen supercharger and a few goodies can push 500 horseys, not bad.
