  1. Welcome to the forum. Talking from the perspective of having loan of a 370 for 24 hours and drove 200 + odd kilometres distance, I wouldn't say a stock 370 is harsh at all. I found it quite compliant. You have to remember it's a Sports Coupe/Car, so the set-up isn't going to be like your average lounge chair ride sedan. If you're talking about the Bridgestone Potenza that some of the 370's are shod with. I'm not a fan of these tyres, for a number of reasons, including the noise. There are better options such as Yokohama Advan Sport V103 that are indicated in some spec sheets. Varies in different countries. Overall, a great car, definitely worth a test drive. I can't see why your partner would want to potentially take another car.
  2. Welcome to the forum. Hope it doesn't prove to be too much of a mission to put things back the way they should be.
  3. Welcome!! Great to see another car staying with it's new caretaker, back to the forum.
  4. Welcome to the forum and bonus of hard top, not roof issues. Good luck with your search. You never know you might be converted to a Z yourself.......... 370z?
  5. So are small boats prohibited into that area?
  6. I've done the track day stuff in cars and bikes, car was just a quick ever day car but got carried away Give you 6 months or a year, and.............. oh look mod time.
  7. Isn't she lovely. Good mileage too. He's right if he was in the US though.
  8. Might be a repost, but still a cool one.
  9. At least the panel isn't stoved in. He probably only did that because he saw someone watching and had to write something.
  10. Take it to the track, then you've got no problem with long arm of the law.
  11. I haven't yet. Kind of interesting concept though. Probably better than all worn out tyres going into a dump.
  12. Does the Sunset just have a cameo role, or a starring role?
  13. Looking forward to pics of all of the trip, especially Stelvio!
  14. Your sig says you have a 350z - you do realise we are talking about the 370z? Mine scrapes now and again, but no biggie, the deflectors are designed to do that. I guess the 370z sits lower to the ground then! I wonder about that. Over this end of the world, not that it has particular relevance to Pomlanders, 350 came stock at 108mm, 370 is 115 ride height. Guessing UK would be similar.
  15. i think i hold the record for something like 200 posts in one day Be afraid, be very afraid.
  16. And given that Jap cars are limited to 180kms. Am I way off base, or 1k for repaint of calipers!!! And wonderful spelling. Have we picked it to pieces enough yet?!
  17. Don't care either way. If you're looking for ideas, the 300zx club over in Kiwiland has one. http://www.300zx.co.nz/phpBB2/garage.php
  18. Welcome to the forum. Hope you won't miss the extra horses. They're a hoot to drive.
  19. Happy motoring if that's the one you end up with. You can take some people anywhere........... once.
  20. Someone's in with their Z. It's ok.............. we agree.
  21. Still a bit hard to see in that pic, but if you give the Z a good wash and dry, then I'd gently have a go at the area with a pre-wax cleaner, should remove some of the scuffing, then swirl remover, then wax. Obviously adhering to the manufacturers specifications of the products you are using, and using good quality applicators and microfibre cloths to remove between processes. That may help a bit. As I say, hard to really see in your pics. Otherwise take to a professional paint/scuff repairer.
