  1. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on Z ownership again.
  2. Sure do. Really like the IOW, nearest to being at home, when in the UK, well in your summer.
  3. Even the seats look almost new. Enjoy!!!
  4. He's bound to be able to help with parts.
  5. A blue one will probably be easier to find. Red was a rare colour in the UK. What part of the IOW are you from?
  6. Rather an old thread. Have a bit more of a nose around the forum, and use the search function, you should find a current answer. Welcome.
  7. I'm late, I'm late.............. welcome to the forum!
  8. Ooooh a rare Temper Orange/Solar Orange. You might like this thread across the pond. Enjoy! http://my350z.com/forum/350z-colors/245 ... range.html
  9. Lol I don't trust myself with a polisher and I witnessed someone burn thru the paint to plastic while removing a scratch on someone elses car so with the wafer thin paint I think il leave it be for now Anyway this thread is about popping paint not swirls lol. I'm gonna ban u stew You can do it by hand too, if you take lots of care, only going one direction (no rub on rub off like the Karate Kid ), and using a brand new applicator. She does look lovely though. Azure/Daytona Blue whatever you call it, is a great colour.
  10. They look fantastic together. Well represented, even with just two of you there.
  11. I just love it simply because its not a badge and the fact that its a Datsun that destroys most other car's for a fraction of the cost. its cheap for what it is (some may not see this as a disadvantage) but to me that says its been built to a price, so nissan are building to the extremes of what they can achieve within their budget, anything that is done to the extremes in manufacturing is never going to be the best. i don't mean the whole package, but i'm referring to individual components. isn't that launch control limited to only 3 uses before needing a new gear box? doesnt it need servicing at minisule intervals, meaning it will be in and out of the garage. it lacks class it has a nissan badge on it. (nothing wrong with nissan; but at the end of the day it shares its badge with a micra) the car may not be as expensive as the jag, but i bet the nissan parts are. Who cares about image. If you're paying for an image, you're paying for a badge, doesn't mean the car whatever it may be is any better. Look at how fragile some super cars are. If you consider the differential of price between say a new Z or R35 or any perceived top of the line supercar, you've paid considerably more for said supercar, and thusly would expect a far higher quality of interior, although it doesn't necessarily follow. The R35 engines are hand built, like most other super cars. Servicing on many Euro's including Jag's as they have been mentioned can be horrendous. A good service on some of our Euro's, past and present, a good service, might get away with 2k, a bad one, 6-8k +. Parts can be very expensive. still wouldn't have one for one reason only it has a nissan badge on it but a 60k car with a nissan badge regardless of how amazing it is, even if it could drive on the ceiling un aided will still have a nissan badge on it. just taking the badge on its own, its one of the ugliest badges i've ever owned. and then take the fact that the same badge is driven around on 6k cars it kills any kudos the GTR whould have. i liked my zed and i still like them, they are pretty to look at; but the zed for me was the worse car I've ever owned, and part of that was down to Nissan, the dealerships the head office, and the car. and at the end of the day, if i was spending that kind of money, I'd want Porsche standard customer service and sales, not Nissan service and sales. So the question being, if Ferrari or any other super car, had a Nissan badge on.............................. following my drift? Customer service at some high end dealerships often is no better than your local Toyota, Honda, or any other flavour of Japan/Asian manufactured car. Totally understand that! Big, heavy aesthetic v more svelte looking lines of it's little brother. Ultimately each to their own.
