  1. Lol, the pavement would be looking like a good option at that stage. Or getting out and ripping off a few smaller branches to get by. All adds to the excitement of your day.
  2. It's still pretty full on over here. Everyone seems very much into cup fever! Even for those of us that live very near the gaming stadiums and ensuing craziness. Will post pics of Friday nights fireworks opening display tomorrow when I have time with downloading etc, etc.
  3. Wow, oh wow Chippy! Stuff the Z calendar, we'll have some of your photos indispersed please. Love all of those photos, but the first gets and extra wow, the birdy shot is awesome too!
  4. Must be some plate breaking required to celebrate.

    New Jag!

The side opening rear hatch is a connection to the E-type. Well there you go. Very cool. Never seen the hatch of an E-type open. You learn something new every day.
  6. You know what though, even if we don't like them, everyone has to start somewhere and if the owner likes them, ultimately that's all that matters.
  7. I wonder if there are any suitable wing mirror modifications available for a 370 yet? Seems a sensible idea to alleviate the issue. Mind you, are the wing mirrors heated like the later model 350's were?
  8. Maybe it would be judicious to put this useful information somewhere on the forum, that you can only see if you're at least logged in.
  9. That's pretty cool. I wonder if it's running race logic traction control or something? No point having heaps of power if your wheels are spinning when you don't want them to.
  10. You mean this morning. Lol, oh no I don't. The joys of being in the Southern Hemisphere and being 12 or 13 hours ahead of you lot depending on what time of the year it is. We were partying into the night whilst you were all slaving away. Oh, down to NZ? Where are you flying into and where are you going?
  11. Oh, and the opening match last night was pretty cool.
  12. Sacrifices?! You can be out enjoying a beer (and the opener of the rugby world cup) on a friday night while I'm just walking into work on a friday morning having to put up with the live score updates on the internet, I see no sacrifices there Look, I tell you it was hard work, being part of that atmosphere, thongs of people. They reckon over 200k people around the party zone in town, probably more and where we watched the fireworks from bottom of a main road near the motorway looking across the harbour, maybe 10k people. Cars parked absolutely everywhere. Quite electric atmosphere with that many people in a happy mood, lots of families and groups. People with coloured wigs, glow sticks for the kids, and the fireworks were really cool. 5 barges in the harbour, and off the Skytower http://www.skycityauckland.co.nz/Attrac ... tower.html, the Museum, ASB Building, plus a few others. So the whole thing was quite spread out. Gun powder haze behind the fireworks giving them more intensity. My poor little camera really isn't up to taking photos at night time. But one of my mates had his fancy big dslr on the tripod, so I'll post a few of those when he's downloaded them. Here's a video from our national tv station. The fireworks were must more impressive from 1km across the harbour with the water reflecting all of the fireworks, on glass still water. http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/video-s ... 41-4394880
  13. Waterfront is now packed, so they're asking people to go to other view points to watch the fireworks, which means there must be well over 100k people around the bottom of town, big area too. It's like a sea of people watching it on TV. When you look at the motorway traffic cams, it's very empty unlike a normal gridlock Friday afternoon/evening. Will be out there watching the fireworks with snowboarding jacket on, taking photos in the predicted overnight temp of 5 degrees, completely clear night. See the sacrifices I make for the community.
  14. Lol, that's what's called living life in the fast lane.
  15. Uuum, do you think said spidy can read??!! Username. Many at both yours and Rabbitstew's post, highly amusing!
  16. Was the same with the loan 370 that I had for 24 hours. And that was sitting bolt straight in the seat.
  17. Lol, you could almost imagine 007 having the like. How does it go.................... what an expensive mistaka to maka. You'd almost cry, unless you seriously, filthy, filthy, filthy rich. I know, the pain would be unbearable. Definitely only something you'd put on the take at some posey restaurant for everyone to see.
  18. Saw this on the news last night. Quite sad really, having been in captivity their whole lives, they wouldn't know what the outside world looks like.
  19. It's a hard job, but someone has to do it. Update, stunning day here, very clear, bar the odd small fluffy white cloud, a mild 20 degrees - warmish, not humid yet(only first week of Spring). Lol, just thinking of all of those that haven't put any sunblock on yet, will be lobsters. Really good atmosphere, even driving around today in particular. Even more flags on cars, massive flags on people's and business gate posts. Local radio station news updates about the RWC: http://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/newsdetail1 ... yID=204325
  20. Well it's all going a bit crazy over here, especially in Auckland. Not sure why?! Must be something major happening tomorrow night. Forecast is perfect for the fireworks tomorrow night. Hopefully the forecasters got it right this time. A lot of businesses in Auckland are shutting up early, town, actually the whole city will be madness, many streets in the CBD closed to traffic, pedestrians only. Lots of people organising good viewing points for watching fireworks. Every 5th car or less cruising around with RWC flags attached to theirs cars with applicable countries flags, be whatever they might be supporting. They're now expecting 100k plus around the Viaduct/CBD to enjoy the festivities tomorrow night. This is your reporter from Auckland, over and out for the moment. Will have updates as we have them.
  21. He did his himself too. It really looks fantastic, but it is a show type car, so to be expected.
  22. It's much worse when they have it for a couple of weeks or so doing a respray. Lol, and don't give us shocks like that.
