This is what i have lifted of the other forum guys. If any one is interested in coming along the that would be great.
  3. The dyno's show the boost pressure. The spool is how fast the boost goes from vac pressure to +ve pressure. The smaller AR hot side has a smaller area around the turbine. The smaller area increase's the pressure on blades of the turbine. This high turbine pressure makes the turbo spool faster than if it were to have the lager 76 or 82 AR that most of the under bonnet options have. the lager AR exhaust spools later but does not choke out the top end by becoming a restriction in the exhaust. (cut back blades do the same as a lager AR exhaust housing) The length of discharge pipe work to the throttle does not effect spool but it does effect efficiency. You get a lager pressure drop from the long pipe work. 8psi at the turbo outlet may only be 7psi in the intake manifold. Saying the rear mount turbo has 3-4 time the amount of lag the twin kit has is ridiculous! The aps twin kit for example makes 7-8psi by around 3k rpm ? does this mean the rear mount turbo would have not spooled by the red line? lol.. Dynos prove the kit is responsive. I agree the lager the displacement the fast the spool (or the lager the turbo you can use) but the rear kit is design for low ish power use. 450whp top this is due to being restricted by the small exhaust housing on the turbo. Hope this helps guys.
  4. The rear mount set up is a good one! There is no more lag than the under bonnet options as the rear mount uses a 0.62 AR hot side on the exhaust. Also as the turbo is away from the engine heat the intake air temps are very low. Its a cheap set up that can be fitted in a day unlike the twin kits that need you to remove the engine.   5. Ive melted mine too mate, i just left mine and as it melts it gets to the point when its far enough away to not melt any more! just shows you use you car for what it for ! I have the "special" edition 5zigen with gold tips! They were silver inconel but they have turns gold due to heat! hahaha.
  6. The JWT flywheel is nosie when really hot at idle and if you load the engine by using a gear that is to high fot the speed. Eg. lazy driving not changing into 2nd for roundabout and leaving it in 3/4th.

  10. Yeah im defo gonna come on the next wales meet as i have been on the last two!! lol... Its a great road the ET and its nice to drive at a pace that suits you. Driving in convoy (and with the Ms. in the passenger seat) some times means you can't get on it as you would do normally. The photo shoot sounds great guys as there are some nice place to shoot at.
  11. :lol: Yeah that last wales run i came on was in a 2.5 auto VX omega!! That was fun just trying to keep up with the convoy! Driving that thing will make any one learn how to be smooth, its got so much body roll im sure i scrapped my elbow that as on the door frame on the tarmac round some bends! haha... The number plate is a "show" plate. Its from http://www.craigsplates.co.uk/. Much neater than the big crappy black plastic plate holder! Legal size and spacing so ive never had any problems from the police.

The astra is very close on straight line performance, i led the pack so my mates just played follow the leader! the astra was wright with me all the way round but i think thats due to the fact you can drive the VXR NR like a total mad man and it wont bit you unlike the zed. The TT was the 225 with some abflug body mods and an exhaust. Suprisingly the TT could not hang with us!!! He cooked his brakes and thats why we pulled over to let the cars cool down so i snapped some pic's. -4 Degrees can give some very twitch moment but the zed does not snap into oversteer and is very progressive on the limit. My brakes also had time o get up to temp for the first time in a while!
  13. Got bored today guys and took the zed for a spin with some mates. Fantastic day, Open roads with no traffic . It was very cold 0 degrees when i was setting off but by the time we were on the triangle it was down to -4 degrees !!! Had some fun moments driving hard at well below 0 (read as bum clenchingly sideways in 4th gear on some slippy icy bends!!!) We NEED a run up here guys, roads are some of the best i have driven. Lots of high speed 3,4,5th gear runs for miles with no traffic!! Snapped a few pics when we stopped because my mates brakes had faded so bad he could not drive!   14. I'd pick up APS though. It's by far the most complete and best quality kit out atm. Complete.....Possibly Best Quality Kit..... Ok alex may be not as good as HKS but far better than the Gready kit and has better turbos than the PE kit and is also water cooled which IMHO is the best way to go.

    Cars looks great mate! what camber specs are you running?? Also do you know the spring rates the HKS coils are?? Last question mate, How do you find the R888's? Im looking to run these on my car but with road miles as well as track miles. Hows the noise on the road from them and how do they feel in the wet ??? Thanks for posting though mate its nice to see some one USING the car and not just trundeling about in it! haha.
  16. Its not a rev limiter just the shift light guys. Ive got mine set a 6K as it gives you a bit of room to shift when your in 1st and 2nd still.

  19. Guys the wheel is of the skyline R34 z-tune. Will fit the 350z but looks rubbish IMHO.
