Which is the highest point? the strut brace body or the bolts? i think the bolts if the bonnet is closing fine right know then it should be ok which the strut spacers. Infact i can fit the strut but it is in contact with the plenum and when i test drove it, there is a lot of vibration coming from it otherwise it held up to some aggressive a road hoon In anycase i will take anything that will do the job +8mm. Ah just remembered yours was similar! where did you get/make the bits ? The strut is the highest point as it goes above the plenum! the strut bolts sit lower! If your bonnet has closed fine with the strut on it then if you lift the strut by 10mm with the spacers then it will touch! Aslo it dosnt touch the centre it touchs the bends in the strut (its its an OEM one anyway!) As its an OEM strut then its fairly fat, with a cusco or summit you may be ok as they are thinner! And any proper "tools and fixing" stores should be able to help, The type found on industrial estates that contractors go to!

Get to a CNC shop to have the spacers made up, and go to a proper fixings store as they do all the pitches etc. What strut you running? If its stock you will prob have issues with the bonnet. If its something like a cusco or summit you may be ok.

To complete the look you would need a datsun badge one the front (doable by modding an aftermarket Z badge) and then swap the side ones for 240z badges!! Think nurrish or IanS16 has swapped the side ones!

Didnt Alex say he had some Nismos coming up for grabs? Would be perfect and fit with the rest of the car in keeping it nissan! Fitting those dont require camber arms etc so you will be fine. Just keep the stocks and swap them over come selling time?

Always been a consideration for me when looking at this type of directional wheel...dont know why they dont do 50% in the "other" direction, but guess it would put the price up! Remember seeing an SLR with there version of the turbine wheel and had to do look at the other side to see if there were directional... Luckily they were!

Do you mean the ones off the zstore in the US / ones offered on ebay? Isnt there an issue with it flipping up? Covered mine in alcantara and its a bit more "comfy", On long drives I do hold the stick so its nice to have somewhere to rest your arm!

Cool. Interested to know how they got a UK car to work with the Nismo ECU. Was never an option for a UK car, and IIRC the nismo ECU dosnt like to play on a UK car. Would also explain how you would have got a power increase as you have a few differences!! Just didnt want any other readers to be misled! And alsointerested on what you get on the Dyno

With just a k1 & intake? Nismo chip, uprated injectors and fuel pump. Not sure what Size the injectors are though. Got told off Nissan garage that they had been done. Its got loads of s-tune goodies, suspension and stuff. JDM or UK car? Dorry for the questions mate! Just you started off with a bone "stock" car!

yeh it should be a white rectangular 6 or 8 pin plug to fit into the uk phone holder, runs off the loom cable that attaches onto the hazards and the light in the ashtray! It sits under the rear center flip up lid cubby

Ah SRR's calculated numbers. So guessing your WHP was about 230 - 235? Still not sure about the % calculation they use but at least you have a base now to work from Just so you know what you can get out of a stock one @ wheels, in 4th gear.

You will prob have to take the centre console out to find the white loom plug. IIRC though the JDM's have a different setup and the system in the UK was a dealer fit when they landed here. Again someone with a JDM thats tried it will know more!

Cheers I was chatting to an old friend who I'd not spoken to for a while at the track day today - he used to do Time Attack with me and is now doing the Nippon Challenge in an RX7 - its something I'm interested in, but it won't be for a while yet. He was very positive about the series - sounds like really good fun I've got the cable - I've been mapping Nissans for a while now and thought I'd have a go at the 350z Had it on the dyno at Surrey Rolling Road a couple of weeks ago - it was 100% standard then and made 257bhp, which is a bit low really, from what I gather. Was that at the wheel? Guessing so! 257 stock is pretty good, increase over stock fly numbers anyway. You live mapping and then running on the dyno or booking out dyno time at SRR?

Have you got anything in the rear centre cubby? Guess there are 3 bits (all mine got ripped out when I got it!) the holder that connects into the loom, then the phone adapter (which I think this is) and then the bluetooth module. As I say I have the holder and then the adapter if you want to try it. It may be as cheap to get a sony single din with blutooth adapter?

Disabling the ABS isnt so easy, its a case of crossing fuses and bypassing. I think one problem is the link into the BCM or one of the other brains. The people I would speak to are either MrLizard on here as I understand his is set up like this and he may point you in the direction of RJN as they have done it (been for a blast in their car a year or so ago and it makes a massive difference! What you using to remap the car ? Mark

As you have a JDM you may want to check to see if you have the loom connection. Cant remember the JDM's coming with this type of setup. You got a bose or stock HU? I have one I could lend you but at that cost, you may as well buy it as p+p will prob cost as much!

Personally I would try and pick up a 240z or 260z fairlady emblum and stick that on..
