Z4 Jay? Nooooooo! I'd be surprised if you like the Z4 after owning the Zed. Had a Z4 3.0i Si Sport (267bhp model) for a few days last year (fortunately it wasnt mine) and just wasnt really that impressed - i think it was the whole Z4 experience that let me down - i cant really describe it - it just didnt feel right, it was quite uninvolving and generally felt like it lacked something though i'm not sure what exactly. The best thing about it was the engine but it definitely had less character than the V6 in the Zed, the dimensions of the car felt wrong, the steering is a lot lighter and the handling is by not in the same league as the Zeds. Plus the bonnet is about 50ft long One way to improve your MPG would be to swap your auto Zed for a manual Zed - means you'd still be driving the car you want at the end of the day

Just thought of something else that not everyone notices about the Zed - the interior is asymmetrical. The drivers side door card is different from the passenger one and the drivers seat is different from the passengers one. Passengers side is set up for easy entry & exit and has a grab handle while the seat is geared a little more towards comfort. Drivers side is set up more towards the driver and a good driving position and the seat is slightly more heavily bolstered.

Hope you manage to get some compensation. I've no idea why they do this with the chippings - had to endure several miles of this in a Caterham last year! It sounded like we were being shot at and was bloody painful at times too!

Good result there - hope everything goes to plan with the fix. Can you confirm whether Nissan are taking this on board as a design fault (i.e. the fact the car is out of warranty is irrelevant) or are they honouring this fix as the car has just gone out of warranty in your case?

Craig - Maybe best keeping specific location/address stuff off the main posts? Or is that just my internet paranoia playing up Garry and i are just a couple of miles down the road from you. You should put a post up on the spotted section about the black one you keep seeing - see if anyone replies on here.
