  1. I actually spotted a gunmetal GT pack car (without Rays) parked on Passaig De Gracia in Barca on Sunday 7th September - completely forgot about that till i read this post! See, they do have taste!
  2. Yeah, just echoing the earlier posts really SMG2 boxes found in E46's are supposed to be good - a big improvement over the old SMG boxes in the E36. CSL did have SMG but its set up differently to the box in the normal E46's - newer software amongst other things with quicker and much more aggressive shifts. I believe if you went for a later model E46 M3 CS (2005 on) these have the same box as found in the CSL. I'd still take a manual though for a bit more driver involvement (unless it was a CS or CSL)
  3. All the best Jay, thoughts are with you.
  4. Yeah - dont do it. Simple. I think i posted on Jays thread with a more detailed opinion a while back when he was thinking of one.
  5. Good luck with the sale. You should fire up some pics of the bike to help with the sale Adam. What new camera goodies are you buying?
  6. I'd come along too Adam, would you not be exhibiting any of your other work (e.g. non car related)?
  7. 238bhp from a hand built naturally aspirated engine, 154 mph and 6 seconds to 60 was pretty quick back in the day and still holds up pretty well these days i'd say. These cars were never about just straight line speed though - it was the sweet handling and chassis that really set them apart. As much fun as an M5 engine in the e30 would be i reckon it would upset the near perfect handling and weight distribution because its such a big heavy engine.
  8. Better sticking to the real thing
  9. Looking good Jim - where did you end up getting them done? L.E.D's look good too
  10. Thats an E30 M3 Sport Evo - the last of the line, the fastest, rarest and most expensive. Only came in black or red, larger capacity engine at 2.5 litres, 238bhp, adjustable splitters front and rear, lightweight panels, model specific wheels, bucket seats, suede steering wheel & gearknob, etc, etc. Used to have an E30 M3 Evo 2 a good number of years back, a truly great car with an amazing chassis.
  11. Give it a go Ian and see how you get on, remember 'bigger and better' is the key! Keep us posted on how things progress
  12. I know how to make HDR images by taking multiple bracketed shots on my camera then having Photoshop work its magic to create and HDR image. I'm not sure how to create HDR images from one shot though in photoshop, as mentioned by a few people in this thread. Could some kind soul post up a quick guide or point me in the right direction?
  13. Google for 'infiniti self healing paint' and you'll see its the real deal, its being used on the 2008 Infiniti EX35
  14. Read a snippet in Autocar the other week that i meant to post about. Basically, US car maker Infiniti (Nissan's luxury brand) are now producing cars with self healing paint - the paint contains an elastic resin that when heated can 'heal' over scratches and other paint imperfections. How cool is that? Here's hoping we see it in Europe sometime soon, maybe on the new GTR or 370Z
  15. Its done by bracketing the exposure as Gixxer said, you take 3 pictures (or more) at different exposures and use them together to compose an HDR image. Try googling it or hitting wikipedia for a quick run down on it.
  16. Hello & Welcome Good luck with the project, i think there is a single GT4 wheel on ebay at the moment if you needed one.
  17. Make a coffee table out of them or something
