  1. Cheers guys - much appreciated. Better let things get back on topic now
  2. Shire - Its off topic i know but do you have any dash pics (maybe in another thread) to get a better look at the dash vents?
  3. Shall we post to see about organising a Scottish mini meet then Jay - see if anyone else is interested? Couple of previous car forums i was on used to have 'business cards' from the site so they could flyer potential forum members/cars - do we have those on here?
  4. DC2 sounds like a good choice. 172 Cup would be another possibilty for a track toy around that price range - though i think i'd probably still opt for the DC2.
  5. +1 to what everyone else is saying. If you are in doubt about how that particular 04 Azure was running - how about test driving another 350Z just to be sure?
  6. Yeah i'll second H5's views on the Panasonics, they always seem to come out best in the What Sound & Vision group tests. I was going to go for a Panasonic but then realised due to the speaker positioning on the Pana (down the sides) it takes up more room - if i went for one with the speakers along the bottom (non Pana) i could actually fit a larger screen into the same space - if that makes sense? I think as long as its 37 inch or above and has full 1080p you cant go wrong for games and movies on the PS3 - something from Panasonic or Sony will always be of a decent quality. Toshiba do some good screens too and are a bit cheaper. Ideally you want to find a retailer offering a set you want at a lower price than John Lewis - then get the details and get John Lewis to price match it using their 'Never Knowingly Undersold' policy - that way you benefit from the 5 year guarantee and a real good price! I dont think they match online prices though - only high street retailers.
  7. Yeah i'm not a million miles away from town Jay - would be good to see your carbon lip. Had also suggested about th possibility of a scottish mini meet but not sure if there would be enough interest.
  8. Could be an idea if some of the other guys are up for it - the petrol thing could cause a problem depending on how that pans out as you say. You could always bring some drums of fuel up with you
  9. A generous offer Dave, hopefully some kind soul will help you out I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a zed fits on the drive!
  10. Lights are looking good real easy to fit? I notice you have the air vents surrounds fitted too - what do you think of those? Are they worth the money? Have they popped off at all?
  11. Any of you guys up for a wee central Scotland mini meet at some point?
  12. Good luck with the sale. (great pics by the way)
  13. Looking good. Are the cats Nismo also? How much were they?
  14. Cool - they definitely look good. Do you need subframes too or are you using or customising the standard ones?
  15. How much did the Bride seats cost?
  16. Yeah i'd have thought between £180 and £250 depending on where you went. Did you get your car then?
  17. Not 100% sure where he bought it from but wasnt ESR, Envy or JDM as i did ask, some other online retailer maybe. Had another opinion today after someone saw it in the 'flesh' and they reckoned it would be real carbon judging by the weave but light construction i.e. strands or layers of carbon over plastic backing. I dont know if you could touch both ends together but it certainly feels like there is a good bit of flex in it - guess i thought it might have been more of a rigid construction. Jay - wouldnt mind having a look at the lip you got from ESR to compare (had planned on buying an ESR one in the next week or two for myself) it with this one - any chance you could post a pic or two in the meantime?
  18. I'll second what Ebized and Stew said regarding the S200 compared to the Z
  19. My router/modem has a uber stubby aerial on it - might try that
  20. Well i finally won those last two 700pt races in the S class - i used the Honda Amuse Turbo S2000 and managed to win both races in the corners rather than the straights if that makes sense. Completing S class gives you the Super License (not sure if thats something you'll carry over into the full game when its released to save you doing the license tests) and allows you to buy the Ferrari F1 2007 (always avail in the dealership but wouldnt let me buy it despite having the funds - highly irritating after saving all that money up!) The Ferrari F1 2007 is blisteringly quick - takes a bit of getting used too and is a real test for your reactions. Once you've got the hang of it you can set some blinding lap times though!

    My GT4

Nice deep shine there - get some tyre black on to finish it off
  22. From what i can gather this wasnt a 'cheap' item - if it was i dont think my mate would have been quite so bothered! Maybe we were just both expecting something with more of a quality feel too it - i think the fact its so flimsy is what made us think it wasnt real carbon. Though as pointed out its probably only going to have that solid, rigid feel if solid resin has been used in the manufacture of the item. On further inspection of the weave it does indeed look pretty natural so who knows!
