  1. What's up with the advert please? Think he's getting at the fact that the ad is very basic, and it doesn't seem that the sellar is enthusiastic about his car. Its a slow market at the moment and if another similar specced car had a good write up and made it seem that the owner loved and cherished his car, you'd lean towards that one.
  2. To be fair, it's pretty difficult to properly speed anywhere anymore. Even if you do 110mph on motorway, you only get stuck behind some loser doing 65pmh quarter of a mile later. Country roads are the only real escape
  3. 30mph above speed limit is general rule, but not neccessarily a ban - depends on the reasons you give as to why you need to drive. Having to drive for work usually doesn't cut it. Has to be a heart bleeder. Or if you said you needed to drive for PRO-fox hunting demonstrations, magistrates would usually let you off
  4. I think the fact that he is a complete ****? I like the comment that 350z's are worth 8k because chavs drive them. Oh dear. . .
  5. Looks a tasty road. Hopefully my life will be less hectic next year and I can join the fun
  6. Life sucks for some people. Bet its a nightmare having to manouvre them cars around the drive!
  7. Wouldn't get fined as much CCTV operators in Manchester watch bus lanes and send fines out in the post to the 'offenders.' Even though it's the police authority who lead the money spinning exercise, it's not actually police officers, and prob the same in the case of this heinious number plate crime. Traffic enforcement is now usually dealt with by civilians paid to send tickets. When the police officers enforced the law themselves there was a certain amount of discretion. At least pretty girls and free masons could get off with stuff. . . The country needs a complete overhaul
  8. Hmmmmm Would love to see a HGV go past
  9. Oldfields does look good. May give it a try. Cheers mate
  10. For that its got to be Osborne Road is Jesmond. Plenty of hotels, good pubs / atmosphere. Quick taxi to the Bigg Market for a variety of clubs if you want. I miss the toon! Sounds good, cheers. Anywhere in particular you'd recommend for food? Not mithered what type as long as it's high quality. May need to book with it being Friday. . .
  11. I think they'll struggle to get out of it. TBH the person dealing with the claim will be more concerned with knocking the price down than with not paying at all. Only problem will be getting what you think the car is worth. All the best anyway I'm surprised the car hasn't turned up somewhere
  12. Just checked it on Google Maps - quite local. Not after a mad night, just wanting posh meal, couple of drinks, retire
  13. Just bear in mind that youtube vids may feature cars with induction kits / y pipes / high flow cats etc which all alter the sound. What's your exhaust budget?
  14. So it includes stick on chrome air vents and pink steering wheel surrounds. . .
  15. I seem to remember someone saying the scorpian is okay until you accelerate and then it sounds like the gates of hell have opened. May also be a bit loud for you Youtube has most of the sound clips although they aren't always a true indication of the real sound. Best bet is to go to a meet and listen to the other's. Nismo is a safe bet, as it sounds great but not ott. Gotta pay a bit more though.
  16. Why? There are lots of places i have not been too in the uk but have seen a large part of the world. It's meant to be one of the best nights out in the UK / North. I'm just trying to get down with the kids
  17. Not a lot of differences between the years in reality, the changes are relatively subtle. The power keeps going up, but if you're not power mad then the earlier 276bhp model should be sufficient. Newest model has 309bhp, but are a lot more expensive at the mo. There aren't many problems with the Z reliability wise. Major problems are rare. Main prob is clicky rear axle, but you can check for this on a test drive. This is usually sorted in the warrantly period anyway. Also subtle differences between UK models and imports, the main one being jap cars often are automatic, and UK cars are manuals. Just as an example, there is a zed on here for £9995 at the moment.
  18. I'm going to ESR next Friday (12th) Anyone else going up that day? Can anyone recommend good restaurants / bars / hotels in Newcastle - I've never been which is a bit embarrasing considering I'm 25! I'm after good food, chilled out bar and somewhere classy to stay - sort of like a ramada or mcdonald type hotel. Could plan in over google but always appreciate a little local knowledge. Cheers in advance
