  1. I've read somewhere that it will cost around that, maybe Pistonheads. 50k is a bit out of my league so not even gave a second thought to the V-Spec
  2. Will that not have gone up with the exchange rate now? I thought the optimistic numbers were £5.5k and that was when Envy were first stocking it. PE kit on Envy site is now around 6k on its own, with £1300 for fitting on top. Then ECU and tuning. Looking 9-10k total for 100bhp. Superchargers are cheaper to buy, but there's a list as long as your arm of other things you should do on top. Be suprised if it worked out much cheaper than TT.
  3. Don't understand any of it, and it hurts my head if I try
  4. Welcome mate. The Zed runs smoother with air con on but always has a bit of a rough idle. +1 on testing another car to compare the problem, seems the easiest way to check.
  5. Can never be too cheeky mate, never know what you can get away with. As long as you come across as sincere when making your offer. Good luck bud
  6. I'll be happy to write an FAQ about changing the Nissan burger badges, or changing the air filter Alwyas thought a sticky about the upsides and downsides of mods would be useful. Know I've regretted a few things that I wasn't made aware of.
  7. Well I hear mixed views. I've been attempting to clean mine with some TB cleaning spray without moving anything as I hear you can knacker them. However in the States they just say its ok to move it but you might have to perform a couple of resets of TB closed position learning and idle air learning. But they're quite easy. Tempted to whip mine off as its filthy and I'm convinced it causes the car to stall on turn over (you know when it blips on start, mine then stalls) and since giving it a spray yesterday its much better as it starts, then drops, just enough to not stall, but not far off. You guys replacing the gasket after you removed the TB? It says in the service manual that you're meant to. The gasket looks mint TBH cant see much need too. I got some tool cleaner from halfords and gave the TB a good few sprays and agitated it with a clean paintbrush. Its looks like a new pin now. I've given it a paint so im waiting for it to dry before i refit it. I will let you know if i've knackered it tomorrow R Can you post some pics up if it works? Need to see if it's worth doing
  8. Don't stand for it pal, get in touch with them straight away.
  9. if you're going for performance i'd be surprised if the gains were worth forking out on an 06+ airbox.
  10. From what Opie Oils said, they are both top end oils and it's down to personal preference. They retail at just under £50, and Opie Oils sell for just under £45 normally.
  11. Bloody hell, didn't realise putting a CAI on the car classes as tuning. Nismo eat your heart out
  12. Spoke to Guy at Opie Oils, and got an answer to my question if anyone else was interested. The millers and Silcolene are both top end oils, but the 10w60 is arguably a bit too thick for the Zed engine, and 5w is more suited. The engine will take around 4.5 litres. This retails at just under £50, and is sold by Opie Oils for around £45 so £35 is a bargain. If anyone else is interested, I'd take 2 at this price. Only 8 more needed for group buy
  13. i think the email address I created (lambolover@hotmail.com) got me rumbled I bet the constant off topic posts didn't help your case either
  14. Cheers Stew, looks bob on Very professionally done
  15. Haven't taken any Chris. You want to see? Yes mate, always like seeing other people's work
  16. Will work perfectly with a standard Y-Pipe mate, that's what I got
  17. S5 looks cooler, one of the better looking 'subtle' car around IMO
  18. MREV is only for rev-up cars ie 296 bhp. Write up here: http://z-store.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseacti ... rentCat=28 I think yours will be a revup if it's an 06 wide, just don't want you spending your money if the mod won't fit
  19. You have to be really on the ball to spot bikes all the time, you'd think that angry hornet noise would give them away but it doesn't. Most bikers come to injury due to someone else's error. It's good to be reminded every now and then.
  20. 150 shot on stock internals?
  21. Have you considered flame decals going up your induction pipe? You'd be the coolest Zedder around if you did, defo Stew, where the pics of your 'paint by numbers' engine bay?
