Ive heard all this offset talk wot is the offset im alitte confused Well my argument was that the wheels on there already are 245/40/17 rears and 225/45/17 front and the M3's are 255/40/18 rear and 225/40(ithink)/18 front. so only 10mm wider at the rear. I was worried that they might rub at the rear as the current ones are close but because of the different design they come out of the rear arch about 10-20mm the fronts were bang on

Well I wasnt planning to modify the car when i got it, its you lot on here the bug is contageous . Yes they were genuine M3 wheels and they did fit had this discussion on Bimmerforums and so i went to try them before I bought them and they fitted quite nicely only thing to do was reduce the profile of the tyres to keep the rolling radius closer and have a bit more clearance just in case, but that wasnt really necesary as they fitted any way. Ive got cuple of pics on my fone I need to try and get on to the comp.

well Bell were the only people that would insure me for under £2500 so cant really change it.

I was just wondering if any of you tell your insurance company when you change your wheels, as I was just about to purchase a set ot 18" M3 wheels and then I phoned my insurance company and they wanted an extra £120!!! even though they dont insure the wheels. ie you get back standard ones if u have an accident!! so im not going to bother I dont want to pay them anymore as I already payed £1700 for 10 months!!
