  1. sorry have no idea about brakes.. but i was thinking cant we just upgrade the rears to same spec as fronts?
  2. Just wondering what are the specs of the stock brembos on our Zs.. Arent they 4 Pot brakes?
  3. tazzi.. just read last comment on this page about being sold..what u replaced them with?
  4. not free this wkend.. even tho my car is fixed now. il be up for the next one
  5. Phil - can u also get the Motordyne MREV2 Lower Collector?
  6. I disagree. With a refurb they won't sell for much more than what the refurb cost. Advertise them on the SXOC they are always looking for them over there Yeah but they'll sell. That was the main point. Also I've seen perfect examples go for a lot more than £600 on fleabay and you can get a refurb done cheaper than £50 a wheel. oh sorry...thats the rate for us southerners! We have to pay double down here
  7. There is a good alloy wheel refurb company located in South london area.. just visited my workplace last week and did an excellent job on some M3 alloys that were curbed. They charge £50 per alloy which is really good rate. Tel 07751210280
  8. Sounds similar to Apexi N1 ...NICE. need to increase vol on those vids tho hehe
  9. Can anyone help recommend any quality garages in Surrey.. need P3 done. I dont want to pay £460 as quoted by Wilsons Epsom!!
  10. hiya.. another update.. contacted Surrey Rolling Road who then directed me to Abbey Motorsport in Surrey. These guys said theyre 99% sure they can fix the prob.. they fitted loads of kinetix cats to Z's recently and said they never fit perfectly, need to be cut and re fitted as they put too much pressure on the Y pipe flexi parts which then crack with time. At same time theyll test my cat sensors to make sure theyre functioning correctly. Im gona use your new Y pipe phil and let them cut and re fit my kinetix cats.. (i decided that i will keep them but this is last attempt to fix it otherwise back to stock cats.. fingers crossed this is the solution).
  11. Not set as yet, they generally run every two to four weeks. You may wish to set one up now as I am on my honeymoon from the end of May to mid-June so won't be around. Nice..congrats. Where u off to?
  12. hi phil.. is it ok to hold on to it till wednesday?.. i will prob take it. Just want to take the car to another specialist exhaust centre on wednesday morning to get more checks done before replacing it.. just temporarily applied an exhuast repair sheet to the flexi part so doesnt fan so much (its a v embarrassing noise when i drive).. but wont last long im sure.
  13. You could try one of our own Y pipes normally £130 could let you have one that has only been on a car for 100miles for £100. The flexi joints sit higher than the Nismo so give an extra 20mm of clearance. Thx Phil.. its a good offer.. i think il take u up on it. ..Why was it taken off the car after only 100miles?
  14. Did u remove the flexi parts? or just some internals?
  15. Made a Mod to the y pipe? umm.. tell us all ..got a approx price of that,.., i know u can get replicas on ebay for abt £80
  16. JIC.. how much and who from pls? is it slightly diff style or exactly same?
  17. im going to the custom exhuast garage on wednesday ..theyll inspect it to see if they can make their own y pipe (much more rigid) or as u said cut and re-weld a replacement arm with new flexi - might cost a lot of money being custom made stainless steel! but other than that only solution i see is stock Y pipe or diff make of y pipe.
  18. Problem not solved unfortunately.. went to garage to get everything inspected. Mounts checked - nothing wrong with them.. Exhaust movement checked - nothing wrong with it. Garage says its Y pipe or the fitting. Strange its in same place as last time.. they suggested it cud be slight damage from speed hump as its lowest part of the car..or faulty.. Now im v confused.

  20. Just to update here.. as its relevent posting. My Y-pipe again has blown.. exactly where the flexi parts are (same as last time). I talked to few garages this morning ..they suggested that possibly the engine mounts have gone.. or are loose.. which wud create a lot of vibration or movement and the Y pipe flexi mesh is the weakest spot. im going in today or wednesday to get it investigated properly.. il update u with the findings.
