    Body kits

    As a forum mod, DONT.
  2. Military cars have $$$ thrown at them. There used to be a pecking order. They were shipped from one area to another depending on the readiness state. If they are in the UK I would think they would be a good buy as they will have just reached that age. Remember the price the MOD will pay for a toilet seat.
  3. Having driven very old landies in interesting terrain with bogs and minefields I would expand your search range. They really are great vehicles and good fun.
  4. I have a feeling it will be busy this year with developments on other forums so it will be a good turnout.
  5. That will be tracktime I presume. I will put a more formal post up nearer the time with costs etc, this is just a "well you were told" thread.
  6. We are hoping to incorporate a "one of each model" section on the stand again next year.
  7. This car is now ready to race in 2012 thanks to Fourways. To quote BlueZmobile. The car is eligible for a number of series, but we are thinking Masters and/or Motor Racing Legends (Big Sam is racing in this series sponsored by JD Classics who also own Big Sam) AMOC Intermarque might be a perfect first outing as the car raced there some 20 years ago with James Taylor behind the wheel. Masters and Legends would put the car up against a number of modsport race cars, Capri's Cologne / RS3100, TWR XJS Jaguars, Jaguar Broadspeed XJ12C, BMW 2002 / CSL / Batmobile, Escort BDA / RS, Porsche RSR the list goes on. Good to see Modsports back racing seriously.
  8. Thanks mate for your efforts. It has been a real pleasure to watch from afar this year.
  9. Hi mate, very good to meet you yesterday and see that lovely car.
  10. My mission today is to find out which muppet decided to have a firework display on the 12th November. Our cat was asleep on the bed and suffice to say it scared her so much I spent the night in the spare bed.
  11. Certainly Ken, I will get Chris S onto it.
  12. Very mate, the day started out as a great laugh charging around in the landie but when we arrived they stood on the shore recounting what each remembered of that sad day. Not a dry eye between us.
  13. I would also like to remind people that this is a social event so if anyone doesnt have a Zed or wants to tale in another car to save money then you are still very welcome.
  14. I observed the silence with a group of RCT guys at Bluff Cove a few years back. Thats an experience i will never forget.
  15. As this is one of the most polar shows and there is usually a late rush to get our stand I am starting the early this well in advance. We are hoping to have a very busy stand next year with all the models attending. There is also likely to be a lot of track time interest. http://www.japfest.co.uk/2011/11/07/201 ... announced/
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum, good luck tomorrow.
  17. My reason for getting winter tyres for the work car are pretty simple. Living in the sticks I am hoping they will allow me to get to the main roads. I am then quite happy to take it easy if they are bad. I have never used them before but last year was a nightmare.
  18. OK, I have a roadster but i think it works. I do rather like Carbon Fibre though.
  19. I think £10 deposit which will cover the basic cost would suffice.
  20. Its worth attending just to see the band. I am flying the bass player in from Spain and the lead guitaris won British guitarist of the year a few years back.
  21. Thanks Andrew, the run is yours.
