  1. there used to be a couple selling lucky heather in the centre of manchester. Looked like a right pair of tramps. They once came up to me and asked me to buy some lucky heather. I said 'It aint brought you much luck as it' and walked off Reminded me of the Viz strip (when it was still funny) 'The Thieving Gypsy B*stards' as recalled on Wikipedia "The Thieving Gypsy Bastards" – an infamous strip seemingly aimed to solely offend the Roma, about the "Mc O'Dougles", a group of Gypsies who descend on a middle-class front garden and steal and vandalise everything in sight, with the approval of the local council. Anticipating, no doubt, the inevitable flood of complaints about the strip, the publishers included a "compensatory" story entitled "The Good Honest Gypsies" in the same issue. Nevertheless, the complaints did come, and the next issue contained a 'cut-out-and-keep' apology, subtitled "what every gypsy's been waiting for!" http://www.visitcumbria.com/events/appleby-fair.htm I percieve a potential problem

http://www.smartfixuk.com/wheel-repairs ... -restorer/ No recommendations or otherwise but they are local. Pls pass on my sympathy, can imagine how she feels" Martin
  4. A couple where I live and they just look out of pace and lost. Wouldnt fancy country lanes in one either. Not much room left with the tourists in the middle. For the same money I think I could come up with something I would enjoy more, and a car
  5. Having noticed the seemingly vast difference between dealers for simple things such as servicing can anyone recommend their local dealer within a reasonable reach. I had major problems with my 300, put in for a simple cam belt problem ( or so they said) and it was farmed out to a tuning specialist who took his kids school fees out of it. Afterwards ( great) Nissan uk where very supportive and suggested this was what I should have been told to do by the idiot dealer. It would be nice to think that a "good" dealer would see the potential in sorting this, wouldnt be costing him anything and you cant buy good will. So sad and so frustrating though. I rarely go for the sensible commercial option with something like a Z as it is not just a car. See the amount of cash we spend on them anyway, if its possible, I would be keeping it. All the very best of luck mate, with the right dealer on board it may even be worth driving a Micra for a while.
  6. It does tend to do that, best money I spent recently.
  7. And of course I did mean 16th September
  8. And on a day when the forum could do with some sunshine... http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/sea ... index.html Its a matter of wether they are to be belived but the prediction is that the Azores high will build and move north. This mumbo means that finally, we should be able to get out and enjoy ourselves ( especially around July 16th in the North West).
  9. Strange that dealers dont get an eyecatching demo. I know its everyone to their own but its an eyecatching car so why have a consrvative colour. One thing I have always smiled at with Nissan, I started with the 260's They do have a very diverse and sometimes bemusing range of colours. Nowt wrong with yours anyway Beavis, probably like it more now!
  10. Yeah, I know, but what the hell. Dealer originally told me it would be delivered mid/late Sept then I get a phone call out of the blue say "it's here!". Thought about it for a bit and considered it sat in their compound doing nothing other than risking damage and thought I'd better go for it. I also had to pay out £105 to put my reg on retention as the dealer said it could take weeks and weeks to transfer if I didn't, especially in the run up to 1st Sept. Counting the days.... If not the hours111, On a GPRS link at work so my previous was for Beavis. The number plate change on mine was refreshingly easy this time, popped in to the local DVLA office and it took less than 5 minutes, nice to know that something is getting easier.
  11. Interested to know whate delivery they are giving nowadays... Best of luck.
  12. Got mine in 06 as a retro fit so it would still probably be slightly behind. I get around a bit and still go off road now and again, especially in the south east. Whats the price for "genuine" updated disks, have it in my mind as about £180 for some reason.
  13. Yeah, but not on '57. I've got a cherished plate so will take the hit on a few hundred quid residuals just to get my paws on it early. Economically unsound but exactly what I would do. I had a deposit on the car for weeks before I could transfer money from aborad to pay for it an sad as it seems, I used to go and visit it. Look forward to picks when you get it.
  14. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-Nissan-Bi ... dZViewItem Or give me a few weeks to look. After all "I have nothing better to do unlike you".
  15. Thought you would have been down there getting the protection off!. How many hours and minutes to collection and dont tell me you havent worked it out!

Amazing how people can word adverts, "head turner", like me scatboarding naked. Will take px, swap, green shield stamps, milk bottle tops!!!!. I watch with interest.
  18. Get Zedrush and the boys up for a quick bit of training on the drive, problem solved.
  19. Ah, but where would you store the screwdriver. I have had a sat nav retro fitted in the centre cubby hole ( uk spec). Have a Snooper on the dash. Hardware for sat nave in the lower storage behind the pass. seat. Sat nav remote and bits in the storage next to my left hand. Rag in the door storage. Water bottle behind the pass seat. Not too much space left.
  20. I will take any you have left Max. Home in 10 days. Whats next then, umbrellas ( sorry Karen).
  21. Good shout Nixy, amazing what you find out.
  22. Shame you cant mix and match "bits" from your two modes of transport. Would help in heavy traffic and cure incoming road rage instantly. Wouldnt fancy the service costs though.
