Fortunately ( getting back on topic) we seem to still be with the 2 yr old Volvos etc where we are but no doubt it will come. I wouldnt mind so much if the presence of these cars reduced the amount of stupid driving on the roads, I have never seen cars being pulled for other things such as 65 in the middle lane on a clear road etc.Maybe if they had a broader approach and targetted other things than speeding then they would have more sympathy.

Thought part of the fun of it from their point of view was the Q/A bit. Wouldnt think they would pass you by unless they were in a hurry, in which case you would have known about it. The old "some idiot in an Audi was too close so I was trying to get out of the way" line has its merits. This unmarked car thing is getting really stupid.

But I suppose the main thing to ensure.... is that you have a great time and have lots of pics to show us when you get back

Hi there, Sorry to hear you have problems so early. Bit more info please. Is it the type of shudder you would normally associate with tracking and alignment of wheels. Is it progressive. Worse when you brake. How old and how many miles. Any history.

True, think I could have worded it better so.... As one of our attendees can no longer make it there is a double ensuite room available in our village pub for £20. Please note this is room only deal with anyone wishing it having to supply their own second person. Landlord is a good friend so the rate does not reflect the accom which is fine. Very dfficult stuation bud but even I, the king of impulse buys would have had cash in place if needed. I think anyone who can afford your car would have been abe to raise some guaranteed cash if needed. The bank holiday weekend timing also botheres me. You still have the car, would hate to think how this thread could have gone.
