  1. Thats great news Kev, hell that has taken some time and really glad you have finally got sorted after this and the model spec nightmare. Hopefully you can get to enjoy the car now How are the Carp
  2. Hiya buddy long time no speak. Great to hear from you. Whats the story with the engine Kev, think we could all do with some good thoughts on aftercare at the moment. Sounds like you are moving onwards and upwards. look forward to seeing some pics. Yes the wheels have had a relaxing winter swaddled in cotton wool in the garage and are only just back out. Apart from one minor scuff on a wayward rock they are still great and I love them.
  3. I was under the impression that new EEC rules had stopped this sort of answer and apart from the car having to be fit for purpose under the old consumer rules it is now possible to make a case without reverting to warrant clauses. Will have a play on Google. As somebody else said it makes buying a loaded GTR that much more of a lottery. From google. A warranty can't diminish any of the rights a consumer has under the Sale of Goods Act (for example the right to reject a faulty car). And the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 also apply to warranties. These regulations strike out any term in a contract which is deemed to be "unfair" to a consumer. So if the terms of your warranty are unreasonably difficult to stick to, seek legal advice (cribbed from WhatCar.com).

  7. Sorry, trying to type left handed again Have trouble with any word involving sex at my age
  8. I am in Essex, is that classed as London
  9. You may have to be specific, North London is a bit far North for Zedrush without the aid of Google
  10. Phil will be at Donny Jay, meeting halfway, not up for a bit of camping and an all night rave
  11. A day from the diary of a *** driver... "The other day I was cruising along as usual coming onto one of my motorways, which was very busy with inferior cars. First off, I couldn't believe that the volume of traffic DIDN'T slow down for me AT ALL as I came off the slip road! I had to squeeze into a barely big enough gap between two cars in order to get onto my motorway! The driver of the car behind me did realise his mistake though and honked an apology to me with a long blast of his horn. Unbelievably, I had to do the same again before I could get to the *** lane. Anyway, once I was in the *** lane and posing along at 110 mph enjoying the adulation that the inferior car drivers were giving me, I noticed an inferior car ahead of me which was not only in the *** lane of my motorway, but was driving at a ridiculous 70 mph! Naturally, I got within a foot or so of his rear bumper and flashed my headlights to remind him he shouldn't be in the *** lane of my motorway and to get out of my way. Of course, once he realised it was a *** behind him, he did just that, but I could hardly believe it when he pulled straight back out behind me! He also tried to keep up with me and when he realised I would out-run him, he put on some blue lights in his front grill and urged me to get onto the hard shoulder so that he could congratulate me on my excellent car. Needless to say, I was eager to oblige and when we had stopped, the man gave me a piece of paper confirming what I already knew - that my car goes fast! Apparently he wants everyone to know what a superior car I have, so I had to take my drivers licence to a police station to be sent away to have some points put on! (They're not free points either - they're £20 each and I was only allowed 3.) But the man at the police station said that because I drive a ***, it won't be much longer before I earn the full 12 points, and then I won't even NEED a driving licence, so they will take it off me! See, now THAT'S the sort of respect you get when you own and drive a ***! "
  12. Think Zedrush had a TT before the Zed, he will be here soon. Have a look n the warranty section bud, that will give you all the issues. Budget looks fine so you should have no problem. Roadsters have no more issues than the coupes as far as I know, have had no real prolems with mine other than the dealers. Welcome to the forum bud.
  13. As you will now have had an e-mail about this are there any more takers. There will also be some exclusive 350z-uk goodies up for grabs over the weekend. 14. So we will have a Bus, lane, two HGV lanes, A multi passenger lane, A fast lane and a Green lane. Sounds like one hell of a road. Then if theres an accident in one lane where do they go. And better throw in a BMW lane too
  15. Another badly though out load of Bo33ocks. If I could share my driving cost I would do this. I did it for two years until the volume of traffic meant I was having to leave home at 3-30am to do it. Traffic will always flow more smoothy if allowed to change lanes when required. Maybe we could have a Gas Guzzler lane just for ourselves so we could get somewhere at a decent speed.
  16. That'll be the yellow premium then
  17. May be time to start using the printed word IMO, they will be a lot less free to come out with any Bo壣ocks in an e-mail or letter. Definately dont back down, I have one win and one at half time with them now and always use e-mail if the first couple of phone cals dont work. Its always as if they think you will get bored and drop it.
  18. Sounds dreadful bud but all too common. This sort of thing seems to be the biggest drawback to Zed ownership. I am having my own little battle with them at the moment but not on your scale. Having read of many issues that owners have had it seems that the answer is to persevere and eventually, most seem to get resolved. What fix did they do for the clicky axle. Assuming they greased it the first time I assume they didnt just grease it again the second. Stick with it and best of luck. Its sometimes difficult to love the car whilst going through this.
  19. Hi bud and welcome to the forum. You would be classed as one of our "older" newbies nowadays. As Mike says, plenty in the insurance section and shop around.
  20. Oh yes, love this site, always worth a visit when thinking what to do next or not
