I think a quick cheap fix may not last. Always a problem with all the other things you want which will naturally take priority. I would say that the best approach would be to look long term and get a solid driveway of whichever material. A quick fix would soon become visually and practicaly irritating. Only my opinion though .

You live in Greenwich hence use Greenwich meantime. Its now summer hence Greenwich meantime +1 hour. Wales is west of you and summer starts later hence 2 hour time difference

A time thats earlier than normal for southerners, i am sure shire will wake you up when he is washing his car at 4am okay mate Im easy so whatever time is good for you ill be there, waking up the missus on the otherhand could prove difficult % zeds firing up should do it

Done a couple of them but route times can be hampered by the normalshed draggers tractors etc. Tend to use motorways as little as possible in general and find long drives much more enjoyable anyway
